🥳This week, we’re celebrating Veterinary Receptionist Appreciation Week! 🐾

We are so grateful for Molly and everything she does to keep our clinic running smoothly. She’s the friendly face greeting you and your pets when you walk through the door, the voice on the other end of the phone, and the one helping manage communication behind the scenes through emails. Molly also goes above and beyond by stepping in as a Veterinary Assistant and supporting our leadership team with clinic operations.

We’d also like to recognize Megan and Kaylee, who both spend time supporting our front desk. Kaylee is cross-trained as a Veterinary Assistant, and Megan serves as a Veterinary Technician—both bringing valuable versatility and teamwork to our clinic every day.

She didn’t let a little rain slow her down and showed up in style, ready for her visit. Cali brought so much charm and definitely brightened our day! 💛

This sweet boy is the definition of a lover—always ready for cuddles and companionship. Even better, he shares his home with his kitty friend Benji, and the two get along wonderfully! 🐶🐱

🐤 Meet Tweety! 🐤

This 2-year-old Gloster Canary Corona (flat top) canary came in for his annual exam and nail trim—and he’s doing fantastic! The Corona variety is famous for its adorable “bowl cut” feathers on top of the head, giving him that signature cute look. Isn’t he just the sweetest? 💛

Gloster Canaries originated in Gloucestershire, England, about 100 years ago, and they make charming little companions. Regular wellness exams help keep birds happy and healthy since they naturally hide signs of illness.

🌸 Pet Safety Alert! 🌸

🐱 Cats:
Lilies—including Easter, Day, Tiger, and Asian lilies—are EXTREMELY toxic.
Even a small bite of flower, leaves, or pollen can cause kidney failure or death.
⚠️ If ingested, call your vet immediately! Treatment within 24 hours is critical.

🐶 Dogs:
Dogs aren’t affected by lilies, but xylitol (found in gum, candy, chips, & some peanut butters) is very dangerous.
It can cause:

⚡ Low blood sugar → seizures (within 2 hours)

🏥 Liver failure (within days)
Smaller dogs are at higher risk.

✅ Keep lilies & xylitol far out of reach of pets.
💖 Protect your furry friends—they rely on you!

🐾 Meet Bruno! This 7-year-old Bichon mix had a scary day on his usual walk—he was attacked by two dogs and needed multiple stitches 😢.

A couple of weeks later, he came in for suture removal, and he was such a brave boy through it all and is all healed! Of course, Megan made sure he got ALL the treats he deserved 🍪💛.

Bruno, you are a true hero! 🐶✨
