As we celebrate our nation's independence with family, friends, cookouts, and fireworks, let's also make safety part of the tradition.

💥Never leave fireworks unattended.
💦 Keep a bucket of water or a hose nearby.
🍔 Practice safe grilling by keeping grills away from structures and never leaving them unattended.
💧 Stay hydrated and protect yourself from the summer heat.
♨️ Know the signs of heat-related illness, choking, and cardiac emergencies, and be prepared to act if someone needs help.

Emergencies don't take holidays. A few simple precautions can help ensure everyone makes it home safely.

Happy 4th Birthday to Juniper!

Four years ago this tiny little pup joined our world, and I had no idea just how much joy she would bring into my life. Baby Juniper on her first day home and Juniper today, all grown up and still stealing hearts everywhere she goes. ❤️

Juniper is my favorite porch pal, my adventure buddy, and one of the best coworkers a pet professional could ask for. She loves tagging along on outings, occasionally comes to work with me, and has become quite the professional herself.

If you've attended one of my Pet CPR & First Aid classes, you've probably met Juniper in her very important role as my "furst responder." 🩺🐾 She takes her job seriously... especially if there are snacks involved.

Whether we're relaxing on the porch, exploring somewhere new, or teaching pet safety together, life is simply better with Juniper by my side.

Happy 4th Birthday to my sweet girl. Thank you for four years of laughter, companionship, and unconditional love. Here's to many more adventures together! 🎂🐕💕
