SOPHIE PART 3 of 3rd session. Sophie's owner originally called me for counter surfing (stealing food off counter & kitchen table), chewing carpet & a couple other things, but those being the biggest problems which are now a thing of the past. At our 2nd session I taught the owners how to claim the kitchen, teaching Sophie that she is not aloud in the kitchen, also I sat with them while they ate dinner teaching them how to claim not only their space, but the dining room as well. Again, teaching Sophie that when her owner are eating that she can not cross the boundaries from living room to dining room. Both the owner & Sophie learned this in a matter of minutes. I am very happy & proud of them! There is a couple reasons I'm posting this video.. The main reason is because if you look @ the kitchen table. you'll see that they removed the gate πŸ‘πŸ‘!
I expected to see the gate open when I arrived, but I DID NOT expect to see that they removed it all together. 2nd reason for this post is to show the start of teaching a GOOD RECALL. We started @ this distance, then I had Gabby go upstairs & be in a different room each time she called Sofie with the come recall. Which is Sophie come here. As I mentioned, this is our 3rd session & these guys are doing a superb job!!
This just goes to show the importance of doing your homework & following thru!!
Great job guys & keep up the good work!!

SOPHIE PART 2-loose leash walking. For Gabby only learning this 1 week ago,, just look @ the difference. Its obvious she did her homework πŸ‘ πŸ‘. Notice how the dogs isn't sniffing every single thing, nor does the dog get way in front of her. Gabby's timing on corrections is almost perfect. She is not looking down @ the dog, she looking straight ahead (which shows & teaches the dogs that we/humans are confident. If we are confident the dog's become confident! The only thing she is forgetting is to immediately relax her arm back down after putting her dog in the sit position. All in all, they are both doing great in such a short about of time. Their bond, trust & confidence is like day & night from when I 1st met them.. Also she is not verbally asking the dog to sit.. The leash is her voice! Great job Gabby πŸ‘ πŸ‘. Stay tuned to see the end results πŸ™‚

SOPHIE-PART 1 OF LOOSE LEASH WALKING.This is my 3rd session with Sophie & her owners. Keep in mind that @ our 1st session, I DID NOT have time to teach loose leash walking. However, I did let them feel what it is suppose to feel like to walk their dog, for approximate length of 2 driveways. With that being said, this is their 2nd week of loose leash walking. This is the before learning video. I will be posting the results of this session next.

This is Sophie. She is a 1 yr old GSD. Her owners have already put Sophie thru basic training, but still had some unwanted behaviors to address like, jumping on guests, counter surfing, chewing carpet by pushing the bottom the kennel out to be able to have access to the carpet. Sophie is super smart! They put up a baby gate to keep her out of the kitchen, however I asked them to only use the gate when they are not in the kitchen. When they are in the kitchen cooking or cleaning I asked them to leave the gate open & showed them how to teach her that she is not allowed in the kitchen ( which is done by body blocking & claiming the kitchen) by doing this it's not only teaching her boundaries but helps with her impulse control πŸ˜‰. Then proceeded to let my clients sit @ their dining room table & eat in peace (again claiming the dining room) & redirected her to let her know what SHE COULD DO. I also got them started on the go find method, which in the end the owners could take that as far as teaching Sophie search & rescue. Sophie will be learning how to search & find her owners @ our next session. My clients did a great job @ following my instructions, paying attention to TIMING, details & following thru. πŸ‘.By the end of session they got to walk their dog better than ever before but they also got a glimpse of a whole different Sophie.
Great job guys! πŸ‘

This is chewie & Han. They are 8 month old Pomeranians. I am helping their owner Sheryl & family with potty training, general obedience & barking. Their owner was a bit hesitant @ 1st, but after asking her to not say "oh my gosh", or cover her face or heart.. She was able to do so & finally see that I wasn't doing anything to her dogs, I just simply put a slip lead on taking all thier power & control away & they threw a fit. The dogs were doing all they could to get Mom to break & give in BUT she didn't & trusted me. That being said I'm sure that minute or 2 seemed like forever but when the dogs finally realized that Mom wasn't stepping in to cuddle them, they stopped Sat down & were quite, then I rewarded them. Great job Sheryl πŸ‘

Sorry this is long overdue but right after finishing with Molly & Kitty I found myself in emergency surgery due to a strangulated hernia. While my surgery was scheduled for the 28th of May, my hernia had been pushed back in too many times & was told to get the surgery scheduled. That's exactly what I did, but @ the same time I had 3 clients to finish with thier 5th sessions & tried to get those done that week. I only got 1 client finished before being rushed in for emergency surgery. So to all my clients who called &/or messaged me & more.. I just wanted to say thanks so much!! Did you guys have to take the time out of your day to check on me, no, but you did & that means alot!

This was the last day with Leslie & Molly. Leslie's granddaughter drew me a very special picture thanking me which was much appreciated & brought a tear to my eye. So Leslie, please tell her thank you for me. Molly started with a huge barking problem & was severely scared of humans due to lack of confidence. Molly WAS controlled by her fear. She now barks 2-3 times to alert someone is @ the door, but even then Leslie can stop her before she barks or in the middle of 1st bark if she wants to. As for her fear of humans.. well now she is not only coming up to people & licking them (which is a sign of affection), but she also brought me & others a toys to play. Leslie & Molly both did a great job & she followed thru with her homework. Which let me just state how very important it is to do your home. If I'm asking clients to do 2-15 minute walks per day (this is just a for instance) that's exactly what I mean). NOT 2-3 time a week, cause walking builds the most confidence meanwhile getting exercise. I just wanted to point out how great Leslie did with Molly by following thru & it shows in these pictures 😊

I am really proud of my client Leslie & her dog Molly. Leslie has done a super job FOLLOWING THRU with her homework & this video proves it! So, if you haven't followed Molly's story, her if a brief summary. Molly was a super anxious reactive dogs. She was super fearful of humans & would just bark non-stop & keep her distance & or hide while barking. On my 1st day working with them, I definitely knew I was @ the right house when I knocked just by loud high pitched frantic barking coming from inside the home. So before I came today I had Leslie work on brain stimulation with Molly about 10 minutes or so doing some of the thing I've taught her since our 1st session. Which in the beginning she always had to have a leash on do Leslie could catch her cause she would always run away barking. So in 4 session we have accomplished general obedience, worked on her fear of humans, worked on her car anxiety while driving to home depot. Plus we worked inside home depot with strangers employees. Molly is a much happier calm dog & it has built both her & Leslie's confidence. Great job Leslie πŸ‘πŸ‘

This is during & after photos of a training session. Brain stimulation is IMO the quickest way to to tire a dog out. Danielle called me because her 9 year old weimaraner mix (Buddy) & 10 shepherd (Myla) would jump thier fence & take off on a regular basis. Buddy the the weimaraner was the culprit lol & most times the shepherd would follow. I called & checked Danielle a few days later to see how things were going & if the dogs ran off that day & she said nope. Not only had they not jumped the fence & ran off that day but haven't attempted it since Plus the dogs have been staying with them on the farm when doing thier farm chores & such. These dogs did so well @ focusing on me & giving me the results I was wanted. To top it off most of the session I didn't use my voice. I let my body language & hand signals due the talking..Therefore they had to think alot. Brain stimulation=tired dogs & a calm house! Great job ya'll! πŸ‘
