Fortnite is a perfect example of a diamond in the ruff! 💎🐶

As one of our Diamond Dogs, Fortnite spends some extra time with our animal support team (aka our behavior staff). He's been working on his manners and learning to channel his big feelings into appropriate outlets. The team describes him as a high energy, lovable meatball who loves nothing more than affection and toys!

Volunteer dog walker Dan recently took Fortnite on an outing and had nothing but great things to say about him, specifically noting that Fortnite loved the car ride and watching the geese at the lake.

Fortnite loves meeting new people and making new friends, and enjoys coming to playgroup here at the shelter. He can be a bit pushy with other dogs, so he'll need to meet any potential canine siblings before going home. If you're looking for a snuggly beefcake, this is your guy!

Today is Furrrst Friday, which means you are invited to read to pets at the shelter! This can help with stress and kennel presentation. Plus, you (and/or your kids) can get a little reading in too!

UPDATE: Due to the heat, the Nebraska Humane Society will not be at RiverFront First Fridays this evening, and the free training session has been cancelled.

NHS will be having a FREE dog training session from 4-4:30 p.m. during RiverFront First Fridays at the Gene Leahy Mall!

We'll also be bringing adoptable dogs from 4-7:15 p.m. We’ll see you on Friday!
