Some months are just tougher than others… and March has been one of those months and it’s not even over. 😢
We’ve had a wave of unexpected veterinary expenses for our cats, some of them needed multiple night stays in the hospital like Maximus. And others needed urgent care, one of those visits was for our dear Darwin. Our team noticed right away that he needed immediate help, and they didn’t hesitate. He was whisked off to urgent care for evaluation.
After many tests and X‑rays, our vet team believes he may have had a reaction to a recent vaccine, and we’re so grateful they acted quickly. Darwin was dehydrated and needed medication to help him feel better, and thanks to fast action and compassionate care, he’s now on the mend.
This is what it means to show up for the dogs and cats who finally have humans in their corner, watching out for them, advocating for them, and making sure they get the care they deserve. We wouldn’t do anything differently, and we know you wouldn’t either.
If you would like to contribute toward the more than $8,000 in veterinary bills for just our cats this month, please visit https://townandcountryanimalrescue.org/donate. Every donation helps us help the animals who need us most. We are saving lives together!
Thank you for being the reason we can say “yes” when a cat like Darwin and so many others need urgent help. Your compassion is the backbone of the Town and Country mission, and the animals are endlessly grateful for you. 💚
