This little boy is certainly LUCKY and grateful for rescue! This sweet 1.5 year old guy was originally adopted and so very loved but sadly his mama passed away and he ended up in high kill shelter less than 24 hours later. Scared, alone and confused we could not turn away.

Lucky is a calm handsome 39 pound boy who has his whole life in front of him and just needs a chance for his forever home to grow up in and he will be the amazing companion we know he was meant to be. He is adjusting well to his foster home and thanks to his wonderful foster family, he is finding his place and the joy again in life. Lucky enjoys playing with other dogs and really aims to please the pack leader (his foster mom). He's learning basic commands and is sleeping at night in a kennel. Although, he is coming out of his shell more each day his overall demeanor is more of a chill, low key guy that is a bit on the shy side. He is easy to please and just wants to be by his people and soak in the affection and attention. Lucky would love another resident dog in the family to help him build his confidence and a fenced in yard is required.

Tate (aka Tater) is now all grown up and needed new big boy pictures! This handsome Boxer/possibly shepherd mix weighs in at about 38 to 40 pounds and is characterized as pure love and loyalty! Tate will make an exceptional perfect sized companion for any family and is ready to soak up all the love in his own home.

Tate is happy in a variety of situations whether with other dogs playing or being snuggled in beside his family as a single dog. In the cooler weather he's up for walks or lounging outside in the fresh air and in the warmer months give him a baby pool to play in and he'll keep himself busy. This unique, adorable Scooby Doo look alike is a favorite in rescue for his easy nature and sweet pleasing personality. He will meet you with a wagging tail and appreciate all the attention you want to give him without being pushy. Plus Tate will be up for anything as long as he's with his people!

His past life as a neglect confiscation left no lasting impression on him other than to simply made him appreciate the safety of a home and loving family. It doesn't take long for him to trust, bond and think of new people as long-lost soulmates. Look into his gorgeous eyes and you will see to his desire to finally find his forever person(s)! This special boy is also crate trained, potty trained and leash trained. He is required to have a fenced in yard.

After spending the first 5 years of his life with a commercial breeder, Kit is finally HOME! 🎉 He came to us in July unsocialized and scared, not knowing how to “life.”

In his foster home, he learned what love, trust, and affection felt like. He learned how to walk on a leash, what human kids were, what it felt like to walk on grass, and even became potty and crate trained! He also of course got neutered, received all of his vet care, and had some much needed grooming appointments. Kit is a whole new dog, and we owe so much of that to his incredible foster family for saying “Yes!” 👏

His new mama, Stephanie, is amazing and even has experience adopting dogs from situations like Kit’s. He is in wonderful hands and will continue to thrive forever! Congratulations, Stephanie, and thank you for choosing adoption and our sweet, deserving boy! Go live happily ever after, Kit! 💙🐾

Meet Baby 💕 She’s a 6 month old Toy Poodle weighing in at just 6 lbs. We think she’s a Toy Poodle, although there’s a small chance she has a little Maltese mixed in.

This precious little girl loves her people and would happily spend her time curled up in your lap. She’s sweet, gentle, curious, loyal, and affectionate. Baby enjoys other dogs and playing with her toys. With her gorgeous coloring, expressive eyes, and irresistible face, she is impossible to resist!

Baby is crate trained now and settles in nicely. She’s still working hard on her potty training since being surrendered to us, so she’ll need a family willing to be patient and help her continue learning. She is treat motivated so that helps. Her beautiful curly coat will need regular grooming to keep her looking and feeling her best. Because Baby is so tiny, we would prefer a home with older children rather than toddlers.

Baby is spayed, up to date on all vetting and vaccines, had a negative f***l test, is on preventatives, and is microchipped. She would make a wonderful little companion for someone looking for a sweet girl to love and spoil for many years to come. We cannot believe Royal is still with us! He’s such a fantastic dog…loving, cuddly, smart, and calm! So what if he doesn’t want to live with other dogs? Heck, lots of families want single dogs💙

Our super sweet Tilly got ADOPTED!!! 💕

Tilly’s life started out with an area breeder. When she and her littermates didn’t sell fast enough, they were surrendered to us. Lucky for them!! 🐾

After getting spayed and all of her other vetting, this girl is officially ready to start her next chapter. She received several applications, but of course, we always take the time to find the BEST fit for each dog. And Tilly sure hit the jackpot! She has new loving, experienced parents and a Beagle brother to show her the ropes.

Adoption Announcement for Cosmo! This little guy stole our hearts while in Haven and he ended up a perfect fit in the best home!

His new mama brought her big boy, Cosmo (yep same name) to NHS Walk for the Animals and stopped by our booth on a whim. There baby Cosmo met big Cosmo and mama…it was love at first sight. After contemplating adding a new one into her pack she took the leap and we did a dog intro at their home. Baby C now Jigger fit wonderfully and played with his big brother. Cosmo need a playmate and little Jigger also was gentle and very appropriate with the older special needs ones.

Sometimes you just can’t go against fate! Look at all the happiness in this family! Baby Jigger/Cosmo is being held in the photo below. From death row to a loved little brother in a matter of weeks and we could not be happier for Jigger! Thank you for choosing adoption, Carol, and giving this little love second chance!
