October 21 is National Pets for Veterans Day, a day to recognize the incredible bond between veterans and the animals who support them. 🐾🇺🇸

For many veterans, pets, service dogs, and emotional support animals can provide companionship, comfort, and a sense of connection while navigating challenges such as PTSD, anxiety, depression, and the transition back to civilian life.

Today, we’re celebrating the special connection between veterans and their pets and recognizing the important role animals can play in their lives.

Want to help? Consider supporting organizations that connect veterans with companion and service animals through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word. ❤️🐶 veterans.nebraska.gov/vets-get-pets
