The weekend is finally here and we want to usher the days ahead with a note of appreciation for our wonderful and deeply dedicated volunteers.

We often talk about ourselves as “we”, but the truth is behind the “we” is a group of cat-loving superheroes who dedicate their time and energy toward helping Omaha‘s street-born cats and kittens.

From TNR, nursery care, fostering, application processing, administrative support, fundraising, donor engagement, and everything in between, Stray to Spay is only successful because of the people who keep us going day in and day out.

So a HUGE thank you to all of our volunteers who show up and get so much done. We are so lucky to have you!

Hi! It’s your friendly cat trappers here! We have a big favor to ask! We try not to request help too often but this year we have so many vulnerable kittens and we desperately need critical care supplies including kitten food and an incubator.

We have been wanting one for years and we have found a donor willing to match donations! Please help us care for the kittens who need life-saving measures to survive and thrive.

Pablo Picasso is a good example. He got a bad case of calicivirus and ended up needing to spend time in an incubator at . We are happy to report to he is feeling much better.

Sometimes life gets ya down, and a little TLC is needed before going back to life as usual!

This handsome outdoor cat had a severe injury, and one of our volunteers helped trap him for needed vet care. Now he's recovering in a safe spot with plenty of snacks, and he's well on his way to feeling better.

Here is another tom cat! This elusive fella has been living his life as a bully, but we’re hoping a few less trouble puffs will chill him out (it’s a pretty good way to deal with bullies).

It’s cool to be kind!

Nothing says the weekend like a healthy mama cat, all done having and raising babies, running free again in her comfort zone ♥️

What do you call a group of tabby kittens? A titter? A tatter? It turns out a group of related kittens is called a kindle, so we will go with that.

Either way, these precious little floofs are very excited to get in the way of our nursery volunteers and make cleaning their kennel a fun game of cliff diving. We love that they have so much faith in our ability to clean a cat box and catch them as they jump. *

*we promise no kittens have been injured playing their risky game.

Volume up for sweet sounds of this portrait of perfection enjoying her

Mona Lisa came to us with an injured paw (maybe broken) but wearing her best outfit. We couldn't leave this 1.5 pounder out to wander the streets, so we decided to give her a chance to rest and recover, and of course to enjoy being spoiled. She is now in our rescue program and loving the indoor life.

Sometimes you feel like you have nuts, sometimes you don't. This fancy fella wound up in our trap and then he went from an Almond Joy to a Mounds bar.

That is okay though! He has a bright future.

The apple clearly doesn't fall far from the tree in some furry families. We asked this mama cat what she thought about the resemblance, and she merely gave us a look that said, "they've got to be kitten me."
