Good morning everyone!!!

Who else is digging these cool mornings and drizzly days?!?! We are loving them!! A break from heat is perfect for honey, elderberry and veggie harvesting!

I am actively harvesting elderberries to make pure elderberry juice! This is free from pesticides, sweeteners and is nothing but the juice from 100% pure elderberries that are grown in a sustainable and responsive way. Make sure your elderberries are free from pesticides and other toxins by purchasing local from small batch farmers like us! There is no substitute for fresh, local quality when it comes to helping keep your family healthy!

Hi all!! It’s PEACH season!!! And I have ripe and ready, fresh, local and raised responsibly, using regenerative practices, peaches ready for your table, baking, freezer or lunch bag!!

Some of these are not pretty. In fact, some are downright ugly, with bird pecks and insect damage but they are absolutely delicious! We use pheromone traps for pests but some sneak through and rather than spray with stuff you don’t want your baby to eat, we take the chance and let the bugs have a little, the birds get a bite out of a few and we get the remainder!

Get them while we have them because when they are gone they are gone til next year!! If you are interested in bags of peaches already frozen that will also be an option as the season progresses. Holler at me!

Cilantro. Most either love it or hate it. We happen to love it here!! No tasting the soap here! 😂

Problem with cilantro is that it is a fair weather herb. It shines early in the season and then goes to seed about the time tomatoes make a showing. It doesn’t dry well and frankly tastes like dust when dehydrated. Granted, it performs ok when frozen but who wants to be limited to freezing!?!!

I have found a lovely herb that may be a game changer. It’s called papalo. ( porophyllum ruderale). It’s described as being a flavor profile between arugula, cilantro and rue. It is commonly grown in Mexico, Central and South America and is used commonly in salsas and cooking.

I have been experimenting with drying it and will soon try some salsas with it.

Today you can try it too!! Free bunches of papalo to anyone who comes to the little trailer today!!!
