Friendly Grove Blueberry Farm

Friendly Grove Blueberry Farm Old variety, best-tasting blueberries - no use of chemicals. Grown naturally on a rich peat bog. Getting ready for the 2022 season!

We will open approximately mid-July. Check back here for updates on the exact date, times we'll be open, and special events. This is a U-pick blueberry farm, and we keep it natural (though not certified organic, we use no chemicals, herbicides, pesticides or synthetics in our field.) This is a beautiful setting with a lot of bio-diversity around the field, super close to down town, but you feel tr

ansported to a peaceful place when picking. You might say hi to our goats, see chickens clucking about, or be kept company by our farm cats patrolling the field. On site parking available, AND the farm is a great place to get to by bicycle! And you can take the 21 Bus and we are just a 10-15 minute walk from the Friendly Grove/26th stop.

PRUNING SEASON IS HERE!! We’re having a pruning party on Sunday, March 8th from 1-4 pm. Our farm needs all the help we can get to make the You-Pick experience as pleasant and satisfying as possible!! If you are able to come, please RSVP to [email protected].

Wear layers of clothing, including rain gear, if the sky looks forboding. You will definitely need water proof boots, the higher the better. Bring gloves and a second pair if you have them. I can provide pruning shears, loppers, and small saws, but if you have any of these, please bring them. I will provide training, some snacks, and comraderie.

Let me know if you have any questions at my email address. We’re hoping for a big turn out!

Oh, BTW, if you stay the whole three hours, you will be gifted with a 5 pound bag of frozen berries from 2025.

Come and enjoy!!

The blueberry farm is now closed for the 2025 season. This has been a very special and wonderful year! Thanks to everyone who contributed to making this season one of its best!

Much appreciation to the staff from GRUB and to the farm employees, all of whom did massive amounts of w**d trimming, mowing, w**ding out the endless spirea, harvesting of berries and helping at the Saturday market. Much appreciation also to friends who helped with volunteering at the sales table and to those who made our Choro music night and our two Gaza fundraisers fantastic events.

A note also goes out to the customer who provided a large stack of brand new white buckets without compensation! They were put to great use!

Thanks to AJ for the professional-level marketing assistance and lovely art work! Word certainly got out about our farm this year, like no other!

Our farm was blessed by so many who helped with the work of running the farm and also to our many loyal customers, some of whom came back 5 or 6 or more times for more berries!

The farm will continue to offer frozen blueberries from this season. Five pound freezer bags of beautiful berries are going for $25.00/bag. Please call Karen at (360)528-0207, if you would like one or more to add to your freezer for the coming winter.

For those of you who just can’t stop, the farm is open for gleening for the next two weeks, but please call to notify Karen, if you plan to come out.

THANKS AGAIN everyone for such a great year! And much appreciation to our local bees, bugs and butterflies, who did such an amazing job pollinating!

The farm is nearing the end of the season, but we will remain open for a few more days. If you still wish to pick berries, they are still available, although in certain areas they have become soft. The best place to find good berries is either out in the backfield on the left side or across the ditch in the east. People have also found some good ones sporadically out in the middle of the field. This is the last hurrah for fresh berries this year! We do have an ample supply of this season’s frozen berries which are going for $25 for a 5 pound bag. Please contact Karen at 360-528-0207 if you would like any frozen berries for your winter supply.
