Iāve gone back and forth about whether I should say anything at all, but I feel like itās time to be honest with the people who care about me and have been wondering where Iāve been.
The truth is, I was in a really bad place mentally. I was struggling more than I let people see, and there were days when simply getting through the day felt harder than it should have. I became overwhelmed, exhausted, and honestly lost sight of myself for a while.
Iām not sharing this for sympathy. Iām sharing it because Iām finally accepting that itās okay to admit when youāre not okay. Itās okay to step back. Itās okay to take time to work on yourself. And itās okay to start over.
Right now, thatās exactly what Iām doing.
Iām working on myself, working on my mindset, and trying to rebuild the parts of my life that matter most to me. Iām taking things one day at a time and trying to give myself the same patience and grace that I would give someone else going through a difficult time.
And I want to make one thing very clear: I am not leaving Washington. This is home. Iāve had some incredibly difficult moments here, but Iāve also built memories, relationships, dreams, and a life here. Iām choosing to stay and rebuild rather than run away.
That also means rebuilding my Caviary.
It may not happen overnight, and it may look different than it did before. But Iām not giving up on it. Iām going to take my time, do things the right way, and rebuild it piece by piece. Thereās something incredibly meaningful about starting again after you thought you had lost everything.
I know not everyone will understand the decisions Iāve made or the things Iāve been going through, and thatās okay. You donāt have to understand everything to respect that someone is trying to find their way back.
To the people who checked on me, reached out, stood by me, or simply gave me space when I needed it ā thank you. You probably donāt realize how much those little acts of kindness meant.
Iām still figuring things out. Iām still healing. Iām still rebuilding.
But Iām here.
And for the first time in a while, Iām looking forward to what comes next.
This isnāt the end of my story. Itās a new chapter. ā¤ļø
