***START A FISHLESS CYCLE***
**This can take several weeks**
Testing water daily with API freshwater test kit

Add Seachem Primed water to the tank, warmer water bacteria will grow quicker.
Cooler water longer to produce bacteria.
A heater can be added during this time to keep temperature around 80 degrees
**after cycle is complete remove the heater**

Follow Dr Tim's Ammonia instructions according to the size of your tank to get the ammonia at the 2 ppm.

Do not do water changes until needed.

On the last day don’t dose ammonia because you will have a cycled tank and you can then do your first water change. I do 50% water change if my nitrate level is at 40 ppm, I do a 60-70% water change if the nitrate level is at 80 ppm. I do a 75% water change if the nitrate level is 160 ppm. Add Seachem Prime and Seachem Stability to the new water as the directions say for the gallons of the tank. You want to then be sure your nitrate level is between 5.0 ppm and 20 ppm. If all is still good after the water change, you can add the Axolotl to your tank.
