We're thrilled to announce that Acuity is back up and running, and we have some fantastic news to share with you all! 🎉 You've been incredibly enthusiastic about Sarah's barn hunt workshops, and we're blown away by how quickly you filled up the spots! 🤯 As a result, we've decided to add some more workshops to the schedule, and since we're keeping the bales around an extra day, we thought, why not offer some private lessons as well? Don't wait to snag your spot, with this much interest they're going to be booked fast!

A big shoutout to our scentwork students who competed at Cleveland All Breed this weekend! We’re proud of all of you for getting out there and giving it a try, whether you came home celebrating big wins or with a few things to work on.

Remember, trials are information, not a judgment of you or your dog. Every search gives us something to learn from, celebrate, or build on for next time. The tough runs don’t erase all the progress you’ve made, and the great ones give us even more to be excited about!

Keep showing up, keep learning, and keep sniffing! We’re proud of you and your dogs, and we can’t wait to help you prepare for your next adventure in the ring!

🐀 Curious about Barn Hunt? Ready to level up your skills? We're bringing in the bales, just for you! Join us for a Barn Hunt Workshop Day on November 22nd.

Whether you’re brand new to rat sports or tackling the challenges of Senior and Master, we have a workshop for you!

🐾 Beginner Workshop: New to Barn Hunt? This is a great place to start! Learn the basics, introduce your dog to the sport, and find out what rat sports are all about. No experience necessary!

🏆 Senior/Master Workshop: Ready to work through those tricky searches? We’ll focus on problem-solving, refining skills, and tackling the challenges that come with advanced-level competition.

Each workshop features 90 minutes of personalized instruction, with just 5 spots available so every team gets individual attention.

Trainer Sarah is an experienced Barn Hunt instructor and competitor who specializes in creative problem-solving to help teams build skills and work through challenges. She also loves getting new dogs started on the right paw, no matter what their drive or energy level.

Your dog has a nose. Let’s put it to work!

Looking for a fun new activity for your dog? Scentwork lets dogs do what they do best: sniff! It’s great for building confidence, providing mental enrichment, and giving dogs a job to do.

At the Pet Education Center, we offer scentwork classes for all kinds of sniffers, from curious beginners to dogs building advanced search skills. And we know that a four-week series or buying a whole kit isn't the right fit for everyone! That’s why we offer our Sniffing Crash Course, a one-time class where you and your dog can give scentwork a try without committing to a whole series or purchasing a kit. Just show up, start sniffing, and see what your dog can do!

Our next crash course is this Saturday at 6:00, just in time to give your pup an indoor job on bad weather days.

Back to School for Terrors is for adult dogs who could use a reset on their basic skills. Whether your dog has forgotten their manners, needs a little more practice around distractions, or just needs a reason to get back into training, we've got you covered.

Just need some polish? Hit up College Prep for those last touches before getting ready for Canine Good Citizen testing or working out those last little issues.

Study Hall: Teach your dog how to read the room and choose to chill out over the course of this 3-week class. This is for dogs who didn’t come with the “off” switch preinstalled, not necessarily reactive dogs.

This month's PEC Student of the Month is Niamh! Here's what her people have to say about her.

“We adopted Niamh GSP (sounds like Steve but with an N) in May of this year, fully expecting her to be an energetic, wild woman that the bed is known for-and that is exactly who she is! Because of that, we knew we needed to quickly build a solid foundation for our relationship with her so we could channel and harness all of that amazing energy.

All of these classes and activities help provide the structured environment that dogs thrive in while supporting both her physical and mental well-being. And each day we're rewarded with a happy, loving, cuddly, velcro baby girl!

I've said it from day one with this girl: she's just lovely! I know that dogs as smart, energetic, and driven as Niamh aren't everyone's cup of tea, but she has been the perfect fit for us. We constantly look at her and say how lucky we are that we found her!

Right now, we're signed up for Sniffing Challenges at the PEC and are also trying our hand at agility at another facility. We're excited to keep learning, growing, and finding new ways to challenge this amazing pup!”
