🚨 **SCAM ALERT — PLEASE SHARE** 🚨

We have been made aware of a scam involving a missing dog and someone falsely claiming that the dog is at Eaton County Humane Society.

The scammer is contacting people who are looking for their missing dog, claiming that the dog was brought to ECHS after being hit by a car and underwent surgery. They are then asking the family to send money via PayPal in order to get their dog back.

**THIS IS A SCAM. IT IS NOT ECHS.**

To be completely clear:

🐾 ECHS is NOT an emergency veterinary facility.
🐾 We do NOT treat animals that have been hit by cars or perform emergency surgeries.
🐾 We are closed today.
🐾 We have NOT contacted anyone about a dog being treated at our facility or requested payment via PayPal to release an animal.

The photo being circulated as supposedly showing our facility is NOT a photo of Eaton County Humane Society.

If you receive a message making these claims, **do not send money, payment information, or personal information.** Do not engage with the scammer. Please report and block the account, and consider reporting the scam to Facebook.

If you are searching for a missing pet, please be especially cautious about anyone who contacts you unexpectedly claiming to have found your animal and then asks for money.

We are sharing this warning because we do not want anyone who is already frightened and desperate to find their missing pet to be taken advantage of.

We're looking for a veterinarian to join us **one Friday a month** for our low-cost vaccine clinic! 🐾

Unfortunately, due to a change in her full-time schedule, our wonderful vaccine clinic veterinarian is no longer able to continue with us. We're incredibly grateful for the care she provided, and now we're hoping to find someone new to help us continue offering this important service to our community.

We're looking for a **licensed veterinarian** who can work **one Friday per month for approximately 6 hours** administering vaccines for dogs and cats. The specific Friday is flexible—we're happy to work around your schedule. This is a perfect opportunity for a semi-retired veterinarian, relief veterinarian, or someone looking to give back one day a month.

This is a **paid position** and a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping pets receive affordable preventive care.
