Could this be your cat?! πΊ
She showed up about a month ago & has been hiding in our neighbor's bush. We have been feeding her, giving her treats & fresh water. We set up an old dog Igloo for her that I found for free. I have put some old clothes inside for her, just in case she wants to use it but she still prefers the bushes. We are calling her 'Leeloo!'
She does not have a clipped ear and appears to be pregnant. We have noticed that her ni***es look enlarged. There are feral cats in the community here, and so we believe she is also feral. She is friendly, sweet & approachable!
I feel bad for her in this heat, and worry for the kittens coming since we have seen one get hit by a car in the road in the past.
We are at max capacity with our own pets ourselves, so unfortunately we cannot take her in. When I was younger years ago, I unknowingly took in a pregnant cat and was able to help find homes for the kittens, so I recognize the behavior, but we are not in a position to do that again. I also understand the realities of the overcrowded shelters as well.
I am sharing just in case anyone recognizes her, but also if anyone here has a connection to a cat rescue or can come take her in before she gives birth, we are willing to help facilitate that. I just feel so bad for her in this heat & living out of a bush with kittens on the way is truly heartbreaking! She deserves better! Positive intensions only please! Thanks ya'll!! π»
