Key Facts About Rabbit P**p: They can p**p up to 300 times a day.
"Cocoa Puffs": Healthy, normal rabbit droppings are round, dry, and consist mostly of undigested fiber.
Constant Grazers: Because they eat almost continuously, they also p**p continuously, often while eating.
Cecotropes: In addition to the dry pellets, rabbits produce "cecotropes" (soft, clustered,, nutrient-rich droppings) that they eat to get extra nutrients.
Health Indicator: A sudden decrease in the amount of p**p (or no p**p at all for 10-12 hours) is a medical emergency that may indicate GI stasis.
Not Dirty: Because their diet is fiber-based, rabbit droppings are generally not smelly and can be used as fertilizer.
