Sad news in the A-team Elite family 😢

Aphrillia who was adopted in 2017 from us received her wings and crossed the rainbow bridge .

She was renamed Lily and brought much joy and laughter to Mel and Paul .

This is a family who adopted 4 A-team Elite dogs .

Jax who was All Star is waiting for her on the other side .

She received a lot of love , a real home and family and many adventures .

Unfortunately a couple of weeks ago she was bloating and I knew it would not take long .

I advised Mel to take as many pictures she still could take .

We Thank Paul and Mel for everything they did for her and are giving them a very warm hug .

In the words of Mel …

Last night Lily Mama...Aphrillia...crossed the rainbow bridge. She was given a clean bill of health on Sunday to only pass last night. Lily was truly the best pup. She never did one thing wrong ever and was always a princess who loved her beds and bones. She was a fighter from the beginning. She was my heart and we will see each other again. Please say hello to the your b**b head brother Jax and play nice with Sadie please! Go meet Levi and make sure he is not grabbing melons off the table! Lily was out medical doggie. Always pushing through multiple ear infections, skin infections, lumps that exploded, vestibular disease, deaf, blind and wobbly!
You will be missed more than I could ever say. Thank you to A-Team ELITE NY Rescue Dogs and Cindy Droogmans for rescuing the most amazing dog. You saw her beautiful face and knew you needed to save her but in the end she saved us! Thank you Crys Tie Rios for being the best foster mom to her until we came and swooped her up!
Run free pretty girl!

OUR ADOPTION POLICIES — PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING

At A-Team Elite NY Rescue Dogs, our responsibility is first and foremost to the dogs entrusted to our care. Adoption is not based on who applies first or who wants a particular dog most. It is based on safety, suitability, and finding the right lifelong match.

Every potential adopter must:

• Complete an adoption application before becoming involved with any dog.
• Participate in a formal interview and screening process.
• Be a homeowner with a secure, fully fenced yard with fencing at least six feet high.
• Have the full knowledge, permission, and support of every adult in the household.
• Be willing to listen honestly to our assessment of the dog and respect our final decision.

We do not adopt to renters, including individuals renting a home from relatives. This policy exists because we have repeatedly experienced situations in which housing arrangements unexpectedly changed—even when the landlord was a parent or another family member—and the dog was displaced as a result. Our decisions are based on experience and on protecting our dogs from ever losing their homes again.

We will not approve an adoption when a spouse or partner has not agreed to bringing a dog into the household. A dog is never an appropriate surprise. Adoption is a commitment that may last ten to fifteen years, and everyone sharing the home must be fully informed, prepared, and committed.

Many of our dogs have endured abandonment, neglect, abuse, instability, or time in high-kill shelters. Some are large, powerful dogs with strong personalities and specific behavioral or handling needs. Previous ownership of a German Shepherd, Husky, Malinois, or another working breed does not automatically make someone the right match. Every dog is an individual, and past experience does not replace the need to understand the particular dog standing in front of you.

We know these dogs. We know their histories, personalities, strengths, triggers, and needs. If we believe that a dog is a safe and appropriate match, we will gladly move forward. If we determine that the match is not suitable, our decision must be respected.

The safety of children will always come first. As a general policy, we do not place dogs over three years of age in homes with children under ten. These are rescue dogs, and in many cases their complete histories are unknown. We will never take an unnecessary risk with a child or place a dog in a situation where the dog may be overwhelmed or misunderstood.

Reputable rescue organizations conduct applications, interviews, reference checks, background checks, home evaluations, and careful matching. We owe this level of responsibility to our dogs, our supporters, our donors, and every person who trusts us to do what is right.

No member of the public is automatically entitled to adopt a dog simply because they want one. Rescue dogs are not merchandise, and adoption is not a transaction in which someone selects a dog and expects to leave with that dog. We do not owe anyone the dog of their choice. We owe every dog the safest, most suitable, and most committed home we can find.

Applicants who are disrespectful, demanding, dishonest, unwilling to follow our procedures, or who behave as though they are entitled to a particular dog will be dismissed from the adoption process. Our policies are not open to argument, pressure, or negotiation.

We take every placement extremely seriously because a failed adoption can be devastating. Our dogs have already lost enough. They deserve stability, patience, understanding, protection, and a family prepared to stand beside them for the rest of their lives.

We are here to advocate for the dogs. Their safety, well-being, and future will always come first.

🐾 AGNEYA IS WAITING FOR HER GOLDEN BASKET 🐾

Beautiful Agneya is four and a half years old, and she has been waiting far too long for someone to finally see the extraordinary girl she truly is.

Agneya is sweet, friendly, playful, and wonderfully full of life. She has plenty of energy and would love a family who enjoys hiking, long walks, outdoor adventures, and lots of playtime. Whatever the adventure may be, Agneya is ready to join you with her happy spirit and her whole heart.

Sometimes she can be a little shy when she first meets someone, so a gentle and patient approach helps her feel safe. But once she understands that you are her friend, her beautiful personality begins to shine. Then you meet the real Agneya: joyful, affectionate, enthusiastic, and ready to enjoy every moment.

Agneya is very dog-friendly, although she can sometimes be a little “full force” in her excitement. She simply has so much happiness inside her that she doesn’t always know how to contain it! She would thrive with an active person or family who will give her exercise, guidance, affection, and—most importantly—a true forever home.

She is an amazing dog with so much love and loyalty still waiting to be given. In the right home, Agneya will become someone’s best friend, hiking companion, adventure partner, and faithful shadow.

She is waiting in Huntington, New York, hoping that her special person will find her soon.

Please don’t let Agneya keep waiting. Somewhere out there is the golden basket she deserves—a warm home, a loving family, and someone who will finally say:

“Agneya you are home. You will never be forgotten again.” 💛🐾

Please share her story. One share could reach the person she has been waiting for.

Please fill in the next adoption link if you would like to become Agneya her new family than please apply today by filling in the next adoption link

Super happy news in the A-team Elite family ❤️🐕💃

SHE COULD HAVE CHOSEN ANY DOG… BUT SHE CHOSE THE OLDEST ONE. ❤️🐾

In the San Antonio shelter, his name was Baron.

He was nine years old—a senior German Shepherd surrounded by younger dogs, playful puppies, and beautiful faces all desperately hoping to be noticed.

But Baron was running out of time.

He was trapped inside a very high-kill shelter, where an older dog can become invisible—and where being overlooked can cost a dog his life. I found him just in time. Had we waited any longer, Baron would have been killed.

We rescued him and gave him a new name: Aaron.

But saving a dog from the shelter is only the first rescue. The second rescue happens when someone finally looks at that dog and says:

“You are coming home with me.”

Jessie could have handpicked almost any dog she wanted. She could have chosen a puppy, a young dog, or one of the gorgeous dogs who would likely have many people interested in them.

But she looked past youth.

She looked past age.

She looked into the eyes of a nine-year-old dog whose life had nearly ended alone on a shelter floor—and she chose him.

She chose the oldest dog.

She chose the one whose face carried the memories of all the years that had passed before anyone promised him forever.

She chose the dog who may not have an entire lifetime left to give—but who will give her every piece of the life he has remaining.

And now, look at him.

Aaron is no longer waiting behind shelter bars. He is standing in a kitchen surrounded by his new family. There are children beside him, loving hands around him, and a woman holding him as though he has always belonged there.

For perhaps the first time in his life, Aaron is not wondering who will leave him next.

He is home.

He has children to watch over, a family to follow from room to room, a soft place to rest his aging body, and people who will love him through every silver hair and every slower step.

Jessie & Family , thank you for seeing the dog that others might have passed by.

Thank you for understanding that senior dogs do not need our pity—they need our promises.

Thank you for choosing not the dog with the most years ahead, but the dog who desperately needed his remaining years to matter.

You did not simply adopt Aaron.

You gave him back everything that shelter almost took away: his safety, his dignity, his future—and his chance to know what it means to be truly, completely loved.

Aaron was once only hours away from losing his life.

Today, he is somebody’s family.

And that is what rescue is all about. ❤️

From Baron, the forgotten senior in a high-kill shelter… to Aaron, the beloved dog who finally has a forever home.

May every older shelter dog someday be blessed with someone who looks into their eyes and says:

“I know you waited a long time. But you never have to wait again.”

Welcome home, sweet Aaron.

Remember , we will love you forever .

Forever A-team Elite family ❤️

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: THE APOCALYPSE HAS ARRIVED… AND HE BROUGHT A TENNIS BALL. 🚨

Please remain calm. There is no need to run—unless you want Apocalypse to chase you, because he would consider that the best game ever invented. 😂

Meet Apocalypse, a 4½-year-old professional goofball whose terrifying name was clearly chosen before anyone met him. He is not the end of the world. He is simply the end of:

🧦 Unattended socks
🎾 Quiet afternoons
🥪 Eating a sandwich without an audience
😴 Sleeping alone
😂 Having a boring life

Someone recently told us that Apocalypse looks like Bluey. We had to look Bluey up—and now we cannot unsee it!

Apocalypse is extremely playful, wonderfully silly and dog-friendly. He enjoys canine company, although he can be a little bossy with other bossy dogs. In other words, if another dog walks into the room announcing, “I am the manager,” Apocalypse may respond, “Excuse me, I already have that position.” A compatible dog with the right introduction would be perfect.

This handsome lunatic has been waiting far too long for someone to recognize that underneath the dramatic name, crazy expressions and tongue that appears to have no off switch is a genuinely wonderful dog who deserves a family.

He needs someone who appreciates enthusiasm, laughter, playtime and being stared at by two bright blue eyes whenever the refrigerator opens. He promises to provide unlimited entertainment, questionable decision-making and enough personality for an entire cartoon series.

📍 Located in Andover, New Jersey
🚗 He can be brought to Huntington, New York, for the right adopter
👦 Male, 4½ years old
🐕 Dog-friendly, playful and a first-class goofball

Please share Apocalypse before he begins writing his own adoption profile. We have seen his typing—it is mostly:

“BALL BALL SNACK BALL ADOPT ME BALL.”

Come meet him and discover that sometimes the end of the world is actually the beginning of the funniest, happiest chapter of your life. 💙🐾

💕 MEET AURA — THE ONLY LITTLE GIRL IN HER LITTER! 💕

Just look at that precious face, those beautiful eyes, and those magnificent ears! This sweet baby is Aura, a playful and loving 12-week-old puppy who is ready to steal someone’s heart.

Aura is the only girl in a litter of five, which makes this little princess extra special. Her mother is a beautiful white Husky, and Aura has inherited her mama’s charm—along with a joyful, affectionate personality all her own. She loves to play, be cuddled, and shower everyone around her with puppy kisses.

Aura is currently receiving care at our veterinarian in Texas. In the first week of September, she will begin her journey to our veterinarian in Huntington, New York, where the most important chapter of her life can begin: finding her forever family.

She doesn’t know yet whose arms will welcome her or where her little bed will be. She only knows that she has so much love to give. Somewhere, a family is about to meet the puppy who will fill their home with laughter, tiny pawprints, happy adventures, and unconditional love.

We are accepting adoption applications and adoption fees now, so Aura can have her forever family waiting when she arrives in New York.
