It’s been a couple more weeks with Maverick, and the progress in this horse has been huge!
He’s really starting to figure things out now. What used to feel unsure and reactive is turning into a horse that thinks, tries, and is becoming more confident in everything we do. He’s staying softer, more relaxed, and a lot more willing to work through things instead of questioning them.
We’ve continued focusing on flat work and building that solid foundation, and it’s paying off. Is he perfect? No. Is he using the thinking side of his brain and learning? Yes and yes.
He’s still not finished by any means and there’s plenty left to work on, but the growth in his mindset and rideability is night and day compared to where he started.
I’m having a lot of fun with this one, he’s really starting to grow on me. I like him more and more every ride, and I can definitely see the kind of potential he’s going to have. I guess I’m just a sucker for these Cypher babies😆
