🍂 Fall views are better from a safe window.

Even indoor-only cats can leap, climb, or push against a screen when something outside catches their attention, and standard insect screens aren’t always strong enough to hold them.

Help keep your cat safely inside:

🐾 Use securely fitted, pet-resistant screens or window guards

🐾 Check screens regularly for tears, loose frames, and gaps

🐾 Limit how far unscreened windows can open

🐾 Take extra precautions in apartments and high-rise homes

A secure window lets your cat enjoy the view and gives you greater peace of mind. 🐈

Cats are naturally designed to drink less water than many other animals, thanks to their desert-dwelling ancestors. 🐱 That low thirst drive can make staying hydrated a challenge, increasing the risk of urinary and kidney problems over time. Encourage healthy hydration by providing fresh water daily, offering moisture-rich wet food, or trying a pet water fountain. During National Pet Wellness Month, ask our team how to support your cat's kidney health.

Finding the right dog is about more than age or first impressions. 🐶

Puppies can require significant time for training, socialization, and supervision, while adult and senior dogs can still learn new skills and adjust to new routines. A dog’s behavior in a shelter may not reflect how they’ll act once they feel comfortable at home.

Before adopting, ask about each dog’s personality, energy level, history, and needs. The best match is the one that fits your lifestyle. 💙

Service dogs may be guiding, alerting, or assisting their handler at any moment, so it’s important not to pet, distract, or interact with a service dog without first asking the handler.

Keep in mind that not all service dogs wear a vest or have visible identification. Their job is to help their handler safely navigate daily life, whether they’re wearing gear or not.

Thank you to these incredible working dogs for their dedication, focus, and life-changing support every day. ❤️
