How has this handsome boy not found his forever home yet?! 🐾🖤

Don't let that signature "grumpy face" fool you for a second—Domino is absolute proof that you can't judge a book by its cover! At just 1 year old, his resting grumpy face is completely at odds with his super sweet, loving personality.

Domino is a total loverboy who wants nothing more than a cozy home where he can hang out, relax, and shower his favorite human with snuggles and affection. He’s as easygoing as they come and gets along great with dogs, cats, and kids! 🐶🐱👶

Meet DRAKE-O, the resilient boy ready for his true fresh start! 🐾✨

Some of you might remember Drake-O—he was found all alone, abandoned and terrified on 6th Street. When he first came to us, the world was a really overwhelming place. But with a little safety, kindness, and time, this handsome boy has truly come out of his shell and shown us the sweet, happy pup hiding inside! 💛

At 9 months old, Drake-O is still very much a puppy. He’s a hound dog through and through, which means two things: he’s smart, loving, and he loves to RUN! 🐕💨
He is great with baths and just loves to give everyone hugs!

Because of his rough start in life, Drake-O is looking for a patient, understanding family who has the time to guide him, work on basic training, and show him what it’s like to just be a normal, spoiled dog. He needs humans who will give him a little grace as he continues building his confidence and learning the ropes.

If you have a yard for him to stretch those hound legs, a patient heart, and plenty of love to give, Drake-O will reward you with endless loyalty and tail wags.

He’s waited through the hard times—now he’s ready for the good life! 🏡❤️

Double the dachshund sweetness! 🐾🐾 Meet Maddie and Minnie, our two precious female dachshund puppies!

These twin girls might look like total look-alikes—seriously, good luck telling them apart in photos!—but they could not have more opposite, adorable personalities.

🛋️ Minnie is our ultimate cuddle bug and proud homebody. Her ideal day consists of curling up under her favorite blanket, soaking up affection, and watching a good movie on the couch right by your side.

🎒 Maddie, on the other hand, is our little explorer! She is all about being out and about, full of curiosity, and ready to jump into her next big adventure at a moment’s notice.

We have the happiest update to share! Sweet Ziggy the dachshund puppy has found her forever home!

This sweet girl captured all of our hearts, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for her new chapter. Her amazing new adopters have given her the absolute cutest new name—meet Nixie!

Nixie is going to be so spoiled in her new home, and the best part? She now has awesome older fur-siblings to run around with, play tag, and show her the ropes! 🐶❤️

A huge, heartfelt thank you to her adopters for choosing to rescue and giving Nixie the most loving home imaginable.

URGENT: 5 MORE DOGS AT OKMULGEE CITY SHELTER 🚨

​Even right after that huge pull this past week where so many rescues pulled together, 5 more dogs were waiting when we stopped by yesterday. The shelter is full again, and these sweet souls need out fast:

​Sweet Husky (Female): So extraordinarily sweet and affectionate. She has to belong to someone—please check if she's yours! She kept trying to push her way through the kennel, but we got her fixed up so she'd stop getting stuck. ❤️‍🩹

​Terrified Blue Bully Mix (Male): Very scared in the shelter, but after taking some slow, quiet time with him, he warmed up enough to accept gentle pets.

​Excited Pit Mix Puppy (Male): Just a young boy, overflowing with happy energy and so excited to greet visitors.

​Gentle Great Dane Mix (Male): A sweet, potential Dane mix with a gentle heart.

​Scared Momma Pit Mix (Female): Very nervous in her kennel, but she has the most beautiful, low vocal howl that just breaks your heart.

​Please note: We are sharing these dogs from our visit yesterday where we stopped by to give them some loves through the kennels. We do not have information regarding their full personalities, temperament testing, or spay/neuter status.

We are on intake hold while putting all our resources towards the current animals in our care, so unable to intake for foster at this time.

​HOW TO HELP:

​OWNERS / RESCUES: If any of these dogs belong to you, or if you are a reputable rescue group able to pull, please call the Okmulgee Animal Control Officer via Police Dispatch at 918-756-3511 on Monday.

This adventurous, sweet 4-month-old cat is always ready for her next big play session! Allie is full of fun, super playful, and loves exploring every little corner of her world with total curiosity and confidence.

She is especially attached to her sister, Cleo, and loves wrestling, playing tag, and taking cozy cat naps right alongside her. Allie’s outgoing and sweet personality makes her such an absolute joy to be around, whether she’s chasing feather toys at top speed or curling up in your lap after a busy day of kitten adventures.
