Safe Hands got a call about some bunnies that need rescued. I was told there were only 2. I caught both of them with Cody's help. Then the neighbors kids came over. I was educating them on rabbits when they spotted 2 more. A total of 4 were rescued. Thank God for having the most amazing vet!! Cody also donated money to cover their vet cost. Thank you God for entrusting me into to caring for your creatures ❤️ I lost 4 pets in 9 months all lived a long and beautiful life. I didn't say I needed 4 more to replace them 😊 Once they are well they will be up for adoption. Poor Buggs is very thin but in great health. Ill get him back to full weight. Safe Hands isn't just pet sitting we love ALL animals big or small. If in need we will be there for them all ❤️

The lilac shrub we bought last year for Shake in his memory also started to bloom for the first time after Miles past away Monday. I sure do miss my boy. I'm just happy he's no longer in pain. It's not goodbye but until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge.

Our sweet boy Miles passed away this morning at home in my arms while getting lots of kisses. He lost his battle to E.C. He was our first Heartland baby. He was supposed to only come home to spend Christmas with us. Little did he know he found his furever home 5 years ago ❤️ He got surrendered because he wouldn't play with the kids. Come to find out he was deaf. He was truly a beautiful soul. He had ear issues because his ear canals were very narrow. Then about 2 years ago he got E.C. We beat the flair ups many times but when your 13 years old it took a toll on his body. He loved his baby food, crunchers, salad, hay and most of all hs cookies aka treats. Miles you will be dearly missed. I'll miss our snuggle time every night. Binky free you beautiful soul.

It's because of these 3 babies is why we created our company. Its was always hard to find pet sitting for them. Shake had kidney disease and on medication. Stitch went into Gi Stasis alot. Einy had no health issues. To find someone to give Shake his medication and someone to recognize when she went into stasis was difficult. She would stop eating and press her belly to the ground. Which can be deadly if not taken care of quickly. I want to help people with pet's that have health issues know they can take a vacation or beable to leave if they needed. Someone who will watch and care for them just as they would themselves. They have all since passed but we have other bunnies and kitties that still need taken care of. Thankfully we have wonderful neighbors that we trust to watch them if we need to go out of town. I recommend really doing your research before buying a bunny. I recommend adopting from a rescue as from a breeder. Their vet bills cost more because they are classified as exotic. Their diet consists of 70 percent hay. Treats are done in moderation. No yogurt drops because it has dairy. Some bunny's love to have a friend and some are solo rabbits. You want to have rabbit approved chew toys. You can buy baby keys and stacking cups. Their teeth never stop growing. They constantly eat to keep their gut moving. If a bunny stops eating thats not a good sign and needs a vet visit immediately. You can bake your own rabbit treats. I will post a recipe my bunnies love to eat later. Thats why doing your research before hand keeps the from being surrendered to a rescue. Right now most are at full capacity. If and when you do you will have an adorable and judging friend for life ❤️

Here is Miles a boy with a big personality. He's so loving and kind how could anyone have surrendered him to the rescue? Every time I went to volunteer at the bunny rescue, Miles would just sit facing the back of his house. The family that surrendered him said he doesn't do anything but sit there. Come to find out he's deaf. Alot of white haired blue eyed lops are deaf. Something to do with there genetics. I told my husband let's bring him home for Christmas. I brought him home to become part of our family. We worked on light motion and vibration to get his attention. All these have worked and made him the confident bunny he is today. He got EC a couple years ago. Thats why his head tilts now. This boy has had a rough go at life but hes thriving and living his best life! I couldn't imagine not having him in my life.
