Hearty Beef, Rice, and Garden Vegetable Complete Meal for dogs with Wholesome Homemade Nutrition
Ingredients:
* 1 lb (454 g) lean ground beef (90% lean, cooked and drained)
* 1 cup (185 g) brown rice (uncooked, rinsed)
* 1 cup (130 g) carrots (peeled, small diced)
* 1 cup (125 g) green beans (trimmed, chopped)
* 1 cup (145 g) green peas (fresh or frozen, thawed)
* 4 cups (950 ml) water (for cooking)
* 1 tsp (5 ml) fish-free algae oil (optional, stirred in after cooling)

Instructions:
1. Add the brown rice and water to a large pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes.
2. Add the diced carrots and chopped green beans. Continue cooking for 10 minutes.
3. In a separate skillet, cook the lean ground beef until fully browned. Drain excess fat.
4. Stir the cooked beef and peas into the rice and vegetable mixture.
5. Cook for 5 more minutes until the peas are heated through and most liquid is absorbed.
6. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool completely.
7. Stir in the algae oil if using, then mix well to create a bowl similar to the pictured meal with evenly distributed beef, rice, peas, carrots, and green beans.
Storage:
Refrigerate in airtight containers for up to 4 days. Freeze portions for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before serving.
