This is a friendly reminder of the Fit Dog Walk this Saturday May 02, 2026
Time: 10 am Downtown Canal, meet in Bass Pro shop Parking lot in the back by where the canal entrance starts.

Currently, it looks like the weather is going to be nice. Supposed to be in the 70’s.

This will be our normal walk, although for those that still need to do the 5K for the Spring Scurry, after we do the normal loop and take a picture, some of us can continue and do a longer loop to do 5K. I plan to do this with Jinx.

I will have forms for both depending on which you want to do.

Remember this is considered an AKC event so if you're doing it for the Fit Dog credit then they cannot wear a prong collar.
However, if you're doing it for fun, just to walk with us then the collar doesn't matter.

Classes for tonight 03 April 2026 have been cancelled due to the incoming weather. Everyone stay safe and we will see you next week.

Fit Dog Walk is still on for 9 am at EarlyWine Park tomarrow. We are doing the spring scurry.
3033 SW 119th st
Oklahoma City
You will want to enter the park from SW 119th and drive down the road until it ends. We will park in that parking lot near the trail.
If you came in 2025 it's the same park.
There is an entrance off of May, but it takes you through the YMCA parking lot to get to the road you enter from 119th.
Trail is 1.5 miles so we will do 2 loops of the trail.
Trail is paved.
We will meet at 9 am and get started once everyone arrives.

The Fit Dog Walk is this weekend.
Scissor Tail Park
March 14th, 2pm
Meet at stage

We are going to meet up at the Social Capital at noon for those that want to come.
Its right across from the park. 517 S Hudson Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73109
They have a rooftop deck that allows for dogs. They have stairs that lead up to it.
However you can go in the door and stay to the left to walk to the elevator to get to
the deck as well. You can order drinks on the roof, but food has to be ordered from
downstairs. We will have to take turns watching each other's dogs as they are not
allowed downstairs where the food line is at.

It's supposed to be warm so dress accordingly.
Remember they have water fountains at the park, but you may want to bring a collapsible bowl.

NEW FITNESS AND CONDITIONING CLASS.

This five-week course introduces you and your dog to the basics of canine fitness and conditioning, targeted specifically to dogs participating in sports. Learn body mechanics, common sport injuries, warm-up and cool-down routines, stretching, and how to break down sport performances for more targeted fitness and conditioning.
Cost 100.00 + 3.20 online processing fee.

Prereqiuisite for this class is no aggressive or reactionary dogs.
Collars allowed: flat-buckle, martingale, or harnesses.
The first night is orientation and introduction and will not include dogs.

Fit Dog walk is this Saturday 07 Feb 2026 Bluff Creek, starting at 2pm, meet at the entrance of Bluff Creek parking lot

Bluff Creek Park address is 11301 N Meridian Ave, Oklahoma City
The entrance is off of Meridian Ave, where it intersects with W. Hefner Rd.

This is an AKC event so no prong collars if your going to count it towards a FitDog title. If your just wanting to walk then your dog can wear any collar.
