✨ Luna update ✨
The doctor called me today after Luna’s visit on Saturday. The good new first, her bloodwork looks amazing! Everything is within normal range, even her SDMA! 🩷
The unfortunate news, she got abnormal results for her urine. Her urine was dilute & has crystals (CALCIUM OXALATE DIHYDRATE).
Typically dilute urine keeps crystals away. I have a lot of information but I won’t 100% know more until later.
Green vegetables can also be a contributing factor to that type of crystal but Luna does * not * eat veggies 🤣 she says “nope!”. Ask Kira Schultz what happened when she offered Luna a sweet potato. 😝
I am going to catch her first p*e of the day on Saturday & bring it into the clinic for a recheck. I forgot to ask if it’s in house testing or sent off but - I hope to have answers quickly.
The crystals can potentially mean stones that have to be surgically removed - but let’s not go there till we have to & hopefully, we don’t.
My anxious mind can’t handle waiting more than we have already. 😔
Also good news, she ate her breakfast this morning, at lunch time & she ate her dinner this evening! With 0 toppers or anything added. YAY LUNA! 🩷 I’ve only added stuff in a handful of times so that she understands she still has to eat her food. Maybe this new food is a winner, her age is slowing her eating & she is changing to want to eat later in the day. As long as she’s eating, that’s what matters. (Well she’s had the brand before Taste of the Wild but it was many years ago).
Now we wait. 🤞🏻✨🌙💖🍕
