🐾✨RVT SPOTLIGHT! ✨🐾
Meet Izzi, one of our amazing Registered Veterinary Technicians!

🩺How long has Izzi been an RVT?
Izzi has been a Registered Veterinary Technician for 4 years, but has been in the field for 5 years!

🐾What made Izzi want to become an RVT?
“Overall I knew I wanted to make a difference. I’ve always loved animals, and with being an RVT, I’m able to make a positive difference in not only an animals life, but an owners life! It’s truly the most rewarding job!”

💗A fun fact about her!💗
Izzi states that she never considered Veterinary Medicine as a profession originally. Prior to entering the Vet Tech program, Izzi was a Psychology major, and she enjoyed that a lot! But, something just wasn’t “clicking”. A month before her second year of college she was doing some research and discovered what a Veterinary Technician was. She immediately transferred and never looked back. She states, “sometimes you just know” ❤️.

🐾💕Something she wishes people knew about RVT’s: “RVT’s are the nurses of the Veterinary world. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes when it comes to the medical aspect. But, beyond that, the love and care that goes into our jobs is immeasurable. We love your babies like they are our own. We hug them, kiss on them, talk to them (sometimes in my mom voice), play with them, sing to them, and so much more. We truly want to see every animal succeed! When we become RVT’s our oath is to be an advocate for our patients, and I myself take that very seriously. ❤️”

💓✨RVT SPOTLIGHT! ✨💓
Meet Crystal, one of our amazing Registered Veterinary Technicians!

🐾How long has Crystal been an RVT?🐾
Crystal been a Registered Veterinary Technician for 9 years, but has been in vet med for 11 years!

🩺What made Crystal want to become an RVT?
“I’ve always loved animals, but I wanted to do more than simply care for them—I wanted to make a meaningful difference in their lives, especially when they can’t tell us what’s wrong. Being an RVT allows me to combine my passion for animals with my love of medicine, and I genuinely enjoy helping both pets and their people.”

📣💗A fun fact about her!
Before becoming an RVT, she was a semi-professional cheerleader! She also did some modeling, which even led to a feature in a popular magazine!

💗Something she wishes people knew about RVT’s: “I wish more pet owners knew just how much we do behind the scenes! We’re so much more than the people who hold your pets during exams. We’re nurses, anesthetists, dental technicians, phlebotomists, laboratory technicians, radiologists, and patient advocates all rolled into one. From monitoring anesthesia and providing critical care to comforting pets when they’re scared, we’re involved in nearly every aspect of their medical care. We love your pets like our own, and there’s a whole lot of knowledge, skill, and heart behind everything we do!”

Meet Tanisha, one of our incredible Registered Veterinary Technicians!

🐾🩺How long has Tanisha been an RVT?🐾🩺
Tanisha has been an RVT for 10 years, but has been working in Vet med since 2010!

🐱🐶What made Tanisha want to become an RVT: “I knew I wanted to work with animals and so it was a natural progression to become licensed after a few years in the field.”

❤️A fun fact about her!
Tanisha prefers scared or fractious patients. Winning their trust and helping them have a less stressful experience is very rewarding for her!❤️

🐾Something she wishes people knew about RVT’s: “We are so much more than the people who take your pet to the back, draw blood, give vaccines, or hold them for an exam. We monitor your pet under anesthesia, calculate medication doses, run diagnostics, manage treatments, and recognize the subtle changes that can mean the difference between catching a problem early and missing a critical warning sign. We provide hands-on medical care, advocate for your pet, and help make sure they receive the safest care possible.”

💃 A fun fact about her!
Natalie was part of a ballroom dance team! She still loves to dance and will take just about any opportunity to show off her moves!

🐶🐱 Something she wishes people knew about RVTs: RVTs are to pets what nurses are to people! From collecting samples and running tests to administering medications and supporting patients throughout their care, veterinary technicians play an incredibly important role in every pet’s journey. When they are in our care, we treat them as if they’re our own. Their success is our success.
