The Greyhounds story starts in Egypt about 5,00 years ago. Hounds of the Pharaoh were designed to detect, chase, capture, and dispatch wildlife. The subjects of the pharaoh, the beauty of the dog was an extension to their ruler. Used for racing, the first event was in England 1876 on a straight track. Coursing, the Greyhounds chase a live Hare, is now banned in most countries. With the invention of the artificial hare in America 1912, the course became the modern oval shape.

A small but mighty little dog. They bring so much joy with their tiny size and cute faces but they bring the biggest attitude, they do not know their size. If you have a big dog and a chihuahua in your pack there is a good chance the little guy bosses the big one around.

The Toltecs in Mexico about a thousand years ago, their breed of choice was the Techichi, a larger, heavier ancestor to today’s Chi. In the 12th Century the Toltecs were conquered by the Aztecs, who have been credited to refining a smaller, tinier Techichi. In the 1500, s the Techichi, In Aztec culture, was considered one of Montezuma’s fabled treasures.
These little dogs lived on in remote villages when Americans took interest in them during the 1800’s. Many specimens were found in the State of Chihuahua, which they got their name

The name Samoyed comes from the semi-nomadic tribe the Samoyede. The tribe migrated from Asia to Siberia thousands of years ago and bred dogs for hard work in the coldest habitable places on earth, the Siberian town of Oymyakon has common temperatures of -60 degrees. The Samoyede lived in tents and huddled with their packs on cold winter nights, this forged a tight human-canine bond. When not hauling goods, they are also hunters and watch dogs. Reindeer being the tribes’ vital source of food fur and leather, they shifted the dogs from hunting to herding them.
