These two have been a part of my life for almost 15 years. Sweetie Pie passed away sometime in the night, very gently she went into the night. Carolyn was an emergency room nurse in her career and Sweetie Pie has been her constant companion ever since. I will miss them both terribly. Carolyn quit driving years ago, and lived almost to Mustang , we had lots of time to talk and become friends on the drive to the vet. I found Sweetie Pie as a rescue all those years ago, and they were the perfect match.

OKC Animal Welfare doesn't have policy in place to determine if a rescue is legitimate. Rescues can pretty much do what they want with animals pulled from there. Most Rescues are trustworthy, but they all should be checked out at least every year to make sure they are still operating properly.

Update: Investigators have notified our shelter that the remains of three dogs transferred from the San José Animal Care Center to Miranda's Rescue were recovered at the property. According to law enforcement, the dogs have been identified as Arnold, Zues, and Lucious.

We are deeply saddened by this heartbreaking news. Knowing that dogs from our shelter suffered such a tragic fate is devastating. Our hearts are with everyone who cared for and loved them, and with all those affected by this profound loss. We grieve alongside you and hold these beloved dogs in our thoughts.

Our shelter continues to work closely with investigators as they determine whether any other dogs transferred from our shelter to Miranda's Rescue were also affected. We are committed to supporting the investigation, seeking answers, and keeping our community informed as more information becomes available.

Renny has undergone quite the transformation . He has some of the worst allergies ever, but the new drug Numelvi and great vet care, his skin has turned around.
Boomer was boarded at Lucky Dog Lodge for a few days and even at his advanced age still enjoys the ride in the van. Our oversized carpeted ramp really helps.

THIS morning, I am headed south, towards Knoxville, Tennessee; in one of the largest teamwork transports we've ever been a part of; tomorrow morning 53 more pups will be on their way to rescue.

Thanks to the amazing efforts of Paws 4 Life and That Crazy Dog lady 53 more dogs will be out of kill shelters in Texas and Louisiana, and on their way to rescue with the largest no kill shelter in the country, North Shore Animal League America.

This is what animal rescue is all about - 4 organizations, leap frogging across the Unites States, traveling over 1600 miles, in pursuit of one goal - to save 53 more animal lives, and spread the absolute pure love that is animal adoption - you aren't just saving an animals life, but impacting every single person and family that adopts them.

THIS is why we are here on this planet, and this is what we will continue to do 🙌❤🐕

This is the bestest boy. Remi has bad skin allergies and the vet and owner are going the extra mile to help him. He's a smiley boy. Just tolerates all the scraping and ear treatments like a champ. Thanks to Rocknoll vet clinic for taking great care of him.

We had the privilege of transporting Fisher to City Paws ER on Wednesday. He was very critical but got the best care for his final visit to the vet. His Dad is heartbroken.
