All Paws Rescue's Guinea Pigs & Friends

Our goal is to help rescue and rehome pocket-sized pets in the state of Oklahoma.

Our organization assists with the rescue of guinea pigs, in addition to dogs, cats, ferrets, birds and other exotics. Our rescue is foster-based and we do not have a physical facility with visiting hours. Visits with animals are by appointment only, or during special outreach events.

‼️ANNOUNCEMENT‼️

Starting on Friday April 3, we will be entering an intake blackout as I start my maternity leave! During this time, we will not be accepting any NEW intakes, and there will be a delay in my response time to messages.

We still have some small critters needing homes and we will be reviewing applications for their adoptions. There will likely be a delay in response to these applications, though.

I expect us to return to normal operations in mid-May.

Our three gerbils Sprout, Bean, and Turnip are still looking for their forever home together! They’re lovely animals who are loads of fun to watch as they dig burrows and rearrange their habitat. They are curious of humans but don’t like being held (very typical of high energy animals like gerbils), but they do enjoy to sniff and watch you!

Gerbils are relatively low-maintenance animals (compared to larger rodents). They are in a 40-gallon custom built enclosure and we only need to spot clean every few days, and change all the bedding out every two weeks or so! For an additional fee of $30, we will send their habitat home with them ☺️

Our sweet gerbil friends are enjoying some new enrichment 🐹

Gerbils are incredibly intelligent members of the rodent family and need lots of space and enrichment to keep them entertained. These boys LOVE chew toys and will devour them quickly. Hopefully this edible tunnel will keep them occupied for a while.

Bean, Sprout, and Turnip are still waiting to find a forever home that can accommodate the three of them. Gerbils are relatively low maintenance and are so much fun to watch while they build their tunnels!

Meet Turnip, Sprout, and Bean! These three boys are a 1-year old bonded group of Mongolian gerbils and are ready to find their forever home. The guys are very active and love to burrow in their bedding, as well as cuddling together in their hides. They don't like being picked up, but they are very curious of people and aren't overly shy.

A group this big needs a larger habitat that can accommodate a deep layer of bedding and lots of space to run and climb. Read more about gerbil care requirements in our care guide:

Meet Buck!

Buck is a sweet, fluffy, little gentleman who’s about 1.5 years old and full of charm. Friendly and easy to handle, he enjoys being gently held and spending time with his people. His calm nature makes him a wonderful little companion.

But don’t let his sweetness fool you—Buck is also quite the adventurer! He’s curious about everything and loves exploring new surroundings. Put him in a hamster ball, and he’s ready to set off on his next big journey around the house.
