Mutt Misfits exists to help unwanted animals in situations that could lead to harm or euthanasia in. We primarily focus on animals with major medical illnesses, injuries, or advanced age that are often overlooked. 🐾 Meet Jessie and Woody! 🐾

These adorable little pups are about 3 months old and are almost ready to start accepting applications for their forever homes!

Jessie (gray with black) and Woody (gray) came to us after being given away in a Little Caesars parking lot by an unhoused individual. Thankfully, a compassionate person recognized that these babies needed a safe place to land and reached out for help. Thanks to an amazing foster family opening their home, these two are safe, loved, and thriving.

These cattle dog mixes are everything people love about puppies—playful, friendly, curious, snuggly, and absolutely adorable. They spend their days exploring, playing, and soaking up all the love they can get while they prepare for the next chapter of their lives.

While their start in life wasn't ideal, we're determined to make sure their future is. Soon they'll be ready to find families who will cherish them for the rest of their lives.

💕 Just look at this tiny face. 💕

This little girl was found all alone as a stray and brought to one of our local shelters. No one came looking for her, and with shelters facing incredible overcrowding, she needed a safe place to land while she gets the care she deserves.

She's only about a year old and weighs just 15 pounds. Despite everything, she's sweet, hopeful, and ready for a fresh start.

Before she can find her forever family, she needs veterinary care, including vaccines, preventatives, a heartworm test, and her spay surgery. These routine but important expenses add up quickly, and we need your help to make sure she gets everything she needs.

Francis is ready for her third chance. ❤

Adopted from the OKC shelter in 2021, her story was supposed to end happily. Instead, she was recently found standing in the middle of the road, painfully thin, with a large tumor on her leg and nowhere left to go. She ended up back at the shelter and on the euthanasia list, but we knew her story wasn’t over.

Now, after getting the care she needed, Francis is healed and finally ready for the fresh start she has always deserved.

Francis is a 7 year old, 70 pound Pit Bull mix with a goofy personality and the biggest heart. She’s a total house hippo who loves to cuddle and be close to her people. She does well with dogs of all sizes, though she can be a bit dominant and will give corrections when needed.

She is potty trained, kennel trained, and very food motivated, making her eager to learn.

After everything she’s been through, Francis is just looking for a home that will love her and never let her go again.

Remember the momma dog and her tiny baby we rescued from a hoarding situation? Another dog from that same case is now safe with us — and she desperately needs your help.

Meet Willow.

Willow was removed from a home alongside more than 30 cats and five other dogs. When she arrived at one of our local shelters, she was absolutely terrified and completely overwhelmed. She reeked of cat urine, likely after spending years living in unimaginable conditions without proper care, comfort, or stability.

Now, for the first time in a long time, Willow is safe.

She’s finally clean, resting in a foster home, and beginning to decompress. But the reality is that Willow has a long road ahead of her. She is severely under-socialized and unsure of the world around her. Simple things that most dogs take for granted are brand new and frightening to her.

She will need veterinary care, patience, nutritious food, supplies, and time to learn what it means to simply be loved.

Please consider donating toward Willow’s care today. Every dollar helps us provide medical treatment, safe shelter, food, and the support she needs to heal — both physically and emotionally.

Where are the big dog lovers! Lil’ Sly is ready to steal your heart. ❤️

This 7 month old Great Pyrenees mix is basically a fluffy cloud with legs — and an even softer personality to match. Sly is still very much a puppy, but he’s already showing what an incredible companion he’s going to become.

He loves other dogs both big and small and really enjoys having furry friends around. While he’s still figuring out strange new creatures (the resident pot bellied pig has definitely caught his attention), his curiosity is sweet and playful more than anything.

Sly is crate trained, doing wonderfully with potty training, and settling beautifully into home life. Like most puppies, he gets bursts of playful energy, but once he’s gotten some wiggles out, he’s happiest stretched out beside his people chewing on a toy and soaking up affection. He truly just wants to be close to his humans.

As he grows, Sly will likely become a very large dog — somewhere around 80–100 pounds full grown — but that just means there will be even more of him to love. He’s going to make someone an incredibly loyal, devoted best friend.

Like any growing puppy, he’ll need a family committed to continuing his training and helping him learn good manners as he grows into a big fluffy gentleman.

Lil’ Sly is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped, and ready to find his forever family. His adoption fee is $250.
