Mr Carson and Mazie are loving the snow day! (Gilbert is still hiding inside) ❄️

Gilbert Goat has a pajama coat.
Bright blue with sharks for Gilbert Goat.
Pulled on soft—no snaps inside,
Warm and snug to protect his hide.

December fourth—oh fear, oh fright—
Mean dogs came with bark and bite.
Snapping teeth and angry sound,
They hurt his leg and knocked him down.

Gilbert cried and shook with pain,
Tried to stand, then tried again.
Leg said no, it hurt too much—
Every step a tender touch.

But brave Gilbert found his way,
Lowered head and charged that day.
THUMP! went horns—one, two—oh!
Mean dogs yelp and off they go!

Kate came fast, Kate came near,
Held him close, “I’m here, my dear.”
Bandage wrapped around his leg,
Slow, slow steps—no jump, no peg.

Night falls quiet, snug and deep,
Pajamas hug his leg to keep
It warm and safe, so pain can fade,
Help Gilbert Goat feel less afraid.

Gilbert sighs and snuggles tight,
Pajamas hug him through the night.
Leg feels better, pain grows small,
Healing works, restoring all.

Gilbert dreams of grass and oats,
Running fast like happy goats.
Safe and warm and loved the most,
Gilbert Goat
in his blue shark pajamas coat. 🐐💙🦈
