A follow up to the recent air quality chart. Our animals and ourselves need time to recover after smoke exposure. This a great article on how we should go about restarting activity and what to watch out for when getting back into a routine. I strongly encourage not forcing activity any animal while the air is unhealthy unless absolutely necessary. Stay safe.

Wildfire smoke exposes horses to harmful particles in the air. Make sure your horses are recovered before working and riding them.

Due to the wildfires in Washington State our air quality is horrendous. Please be mindful of your animals and what you are asking them to do. I know fair season is around the corner and practice is needed but consider giving time off while the air is unsafe. While the diagram shows horses it applies for all animals and people. Also consider allowing for recovery time after being exposed to poor air quality.

We are in the thick of busy season and I have been on the road seeing appointments and took a bit of time to enjoy my horses. These are my current waiting for reply messages. This does not count emails as well. Please be patient in waiting for a reply. I am only one person that is wearing many hats.
I am booking a minimum of 3 weeks out at this time.

It’s time to think spring and get vaccinations and exams done on our equine partners.

When the clock springs forward to signal a change in the seasons, your horse’s vaccinations records need an update to help protect against potentially fatal equine diseases.

Spring is in the air and it is time to start getting those critters checked out and up to date on exams, vaccines, dental floats and all the spring necessities.

I am willing to travel and try to group people by area to help split costs.
