🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM DR. HOUSE PAWS 🐾

We have some unfortunate news to share with our Dr. House Paws family. Our van has unexpectedly broken down, which means we will be CLOSED NEXT WEEK while we work on getting everything back up and running.

Because of this, all existing appointments scheduled for next week will need to be rescheduled. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding while we get our mobile clinic back on the road.

In the meantime, we encourage all of our clients to take this opportunity to support your local brick-and-mortar veterinary clinics!

If your pet needs veterinary care while we are temporarily closed, please don’t wait—reach out to your local veterinary clinic or emergency veterinary hospital as appropriate.

We will be reaching out regarding rescheduling existing appointments and will keep everyone updated as we know more.

Thank you so much for your continued support, patience, and understanding. We can’t wait to get back on the road and see all of our furry patients! 🐾❤️

Last week, Dr. Ryan fractured her left arm. It’s a clean break with no displacement. Fortunately, no surgery needed. However, this injury impairs her abilities to perform exams and provide some treatments. Please bear with us as we give her time to heal and adjust. Patricia will be able to perform many of our services and our administrative functions will continue. Thank you for your patience.

08/15/2026

Dr. Ryan and Patti are attending the Western Veterinary Conference in Nashville this week. They will return next week and resume operations to meet your needs.

Please remember to keep your fur babies hydrated and, if at all possible, keep them indoors during the hottest part of the day.

🐾 Meet Lukas & his dad! 🐾

For some families, a trip to the veterinary clinic can be stressful, for both the pet and their person. Lukas and his dad both experience anxiety when it’s time for a vet visit, which is exactly why we’re so passionate about bringing veterinary care right to your doorstep.

When your pet is in the comfort of their own home, they can stay relaxed in a familiar environment, making exams and treatments much less stressful for everyone involved.

🏡 Stay home. Stay comfortable. We’ll come to you. ❤️

Thank you to all of our wonderful clients who have trusted us with their beloved companions. Your support, kind words, and the relationships we’ve built mean the world to us. 💜

☀️ The Alabama heat is here, and it’s no joke!

With temperatures soaring this month, it’s important to help keep our furry family members safe and comfortable.

Here are a few simple ways to protect your pets:
🐶 Make sure they always have access to fresh, cool water.
🌳 Keep walks to the early morning or late evening, and avoid hot pavement, it can burn their paws!
🏡 Bring pets indoors or provide plenty of shade during the hottest parts of the day.
🚗 Never leave your pet in a parked car, even for a minute.
🥵 Watch for signs of heat-stress, including excessive panting, drooling, confusion, bright red gums, or collapsing. If you notice these signs, seek veterinary care immediately.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and give your four-legged friends an extra treat from all of us at Dr. House Paws! 🐾💙

We had the honor of helping sweet Iris cross the Rainbow Bridge. The beautiful memorial her family has created is a reminder that while our pets may leave our side, they never leave our hearts. ❤️🌈🐾

Thank you for trusting Dr. House Paws to walk alongside your family during Iris’s final journey. It is a privilege we never take for granted.
