We also have a litter of Shepherds due October 27th out of Katey & Rocky-this litter will be ready the week of Christmas . Pick of the litter for females is up for grabs again as one of our families would like to wait for a spring litter. Katey & Rock will have one more litter after this & she will be retiring. I will be keeping a pup out of that litter no matter what so there may be limited availability, depending on what she has.
Fingers crossed I will be announcing another litter of Shepherds due in November this week!🤞😊

Just a friendly reminder, I am open seven days a week as of right now for boarding! That is subject to change when all of my ducks are in a row to start taking courses to become a Vet Tech! The kennel will not be closing, I will not be going to work elsewhere once I am finished. I am doing this to be more knowledgeable so I can take better care of my dogs, your dogs, & our cows if something were to ever come up. Over the summer I had a pretty big scare with Rocky. My Vet
Cathy Parent was too far away, she recommended I call Silver Birch emergency Vet in Norwood. Cathy always either instantly answers my phone calls or makes it a point to get back to me ASAP no matter when I call her. I already had him loaded in the truck before I could even make any phone calls and was in a state of panic after having to pick up one of my biggest dogs and carry him out of the kennel while all of his friends laid down with a sad look on their face scared out of their minds. I highly recommend Silver Birch if one of your animals ever suddenly become sick. Dr. Wray, Riley, & all the staff working during Rock’s visit were absolutely incredible. When I arrived with Rock I was carrying him like a baby running up the ramp & left the doors in the truck wide open. They ran right to us and instantly started working on him. I took a chance on Dr. Wray & she took one on me with letting me take him home that night to take care of him since nobody’s there after 9 p.m. & I was not comfortable leaving him at another facility overnight when I knew I could administer his meds if shown how to change out the IV bags and make sure it was flowing the way it was supposed to. I received a text around 10:30 from the vet because she wasn’t sure if she had told me a certain key thing (which she had told me) she left me an email address in the text to get back to her. I was in the middle of writing the email and she called me at 11 o’clock p.m. to make sure that I had received her text. The next morning Joe & I went rolling in there with Rocky and just about everybody there was in tears including myself that had seen him less than 24 hours prior in critical condition. Two days after I spoke with Cathy, and was a complete wreck and scared to death. She made it a point to call me after hours on a Friday night to check on Rocky and myself. I told her that I was just thinking about her and she had called me. I told her thank you for not being able to because she was so far away and that had I taken a chance of driving all the way to her Rocky would’ve died and thanked her for telling me to go to Silver Birch. There’s a reason Cathy is my Vet. I could not trust a person anymore with my animals! Her and I often work together to make things easier when she does come out to the kennel because it is quite overwhelming at times, especially if there’s pups because some days we might be working on 35 dogs. I met her last summer when one of my Dad’s shepherd’s was nearing the end of his life and he had called me looking for her number which I had on paperwork from boarding client by chance. He called her and she came to see Lincoln when I was there. My vet was out here was on the verge of retiring, and I asked her if she would come all the way to me. She was a little hesitant at first since I am so far away from her. Fast-forward a year and a half and she’s my right hand lady! If anybody is looking for a primary vet for their dogs, Cathy Parent is hands down the best around. The fact that she took time of her own off the clock to call me and check on both Rocky and myself speaks volumes about the kind of person that she is. It’s good to have great people in your corner! Switching career paths hasn’t been easy - definitely a learning curve to it, but I’m pretty lucky to have crossed paths with the people that I have in the animal world!!
