Happy Anniversary, Joan and Roy!🎉💍
You’ve been married for… well, a long time.
Like, longer-than-the-internet long.
Longer-than-corded-phones long.
Basically, you two have been together since well….forever.
To put it in perspective, you’ve been married longer than:
📺 TV Remote’s (Chads Job)
📱 Cell phones (or touch tone for that matter)
💾 Personal computers (you started out writing love notes, not emails)
💳 Weather Lines (You have been married so long you used to call the bank for the time and temp!)
🎮 Video games beyond Pong (whos up for Rook?)
📡 The Moon landing hype wore off (people were still talking about it like it just happened)
📼 VHS tapes, CDs, and DVDs (jammin to the 8 track)
🌍 Half the people on social media were even born
🎤 Karaoke machines (which is tragic because Chad loves Karaoke!)
💻 Google, Amazon, and pretty much the entire internet (back then, “surfing” was just for the beach)
🛒 Big-box stores like Walmart Supercenters ( &Y)
☕ Fancy coffee shops (Sanka Instant ?)
🚗 Seat belt laws (put us in the back of the truck! If there was an accident we would’ve been safely thrown free of the wreckage)
📡 Satellite radio and podcasts ( )
📺 Netflix and streaming services (4 channels and if the president was on your crap out of luck)
🔑 Key fobs and push-to-start cars (turning a key was still the only way to start a car)
✈️ Cheap airline tickets (back when flying was still kind of glamorous)
💰 The invention of the lottery (people had to work for their millions the old-fashioned way)
Wishing you both a day filled with love, laughter, and maybe a nap (because, let’s be honest, you’ve earned it).
