We are so thankful ❤️

We are so excited to share that this year's Cups for Pups event raised $2,230 for the Oconto Area Humane Society!

Eight local organizations each donated $250, totaling $2,000, and an additional $230 was collected through generous donations from community members during the event.

A BIG thank you to all eight participating organizations for making this event possible:
Milk and Honey Café
Oconto Electric Cooperative
N.E.W. Credit Union
Luisier Drilling
Iverson's Piggly Wiggly
United True Value
Oak Ridge Counseling & Consulting

We also want to thank everyone who stopped in, purchased a drink, or made an extra donations. Your generosity helps support the animals in our community who need it most.

It's amazing what can happen when local businesses and community members come together for a great cause. We're proud to be part of such a caring community and are already looking forward to next year!

Thank you for helping us make a difference, one cup at a time!

WIN WEDNESDAY! 🐾

Today, we’re sharing a happy ending for a very special boy, Bailey! 🐶

Bailey was surrendered to us skin and bones, covered in tight, thick mats. He had a rough start, but we wanted to make sure he felt a little more comfortable while waiting for his fresh start. A huge thank-you to Kandi Paws Grooming for giving Bailey a much needed groom and helping him feel a little better!

Thankfully, Bailey didn’t have to wait long for his happily ever after! He was adopted by a wonderful family and is now living the life he always deserved, filled with love, comfort, and all the good things life has to offer. 🏡🐾

"We adopted Bailey on 9/11/26 as a companion for our other dog Jax. He has been nothing but a blessing so far; he fit right into our family and enjoys camping, walks, playing with our chickens, and loves his new sibling, Jax. They have become inseparable; he truly is a blessing for us !"
- Bailey's Adopters

Stories like Bailey’s are why we do what we do. Every animal deserves a second chance, and we’re so happy Bailey found his! ❤

Our shelter has 16 cats waiting to be adopted, and we would love to see each one find a family! ❤️

October is the perfect time to add a little extra love to your home. All cats over 6 months old are just $10 to adopt throughout October!

Each of these cats has their own personality, story, and so much love to give. Whether you're looking for a playful companion, a snuggle buddy, or a little bit of both, your new best friend might be waiting right here at the shelter.
Please help us find homes for these sweet faces! Share this post, tag a friend who's looking to adopt, or stop by the shelter to meet them. Every share helps us get one step closer to finding them the loving homes they deserve. 🏡

Let's get all 16 cats adopted this October! 🐈🧡

Welcome to meet me Monday! 🐾

Every Monday, we will introduce you to a new furry friend in our care who is desperate to find their forever home.

This week, we’d like to introduce you to Versais, aka Say-Say! ❤️

Say-Say was recently returned to the shelter and is looking for a home where she can thrive. She’s dominant and would do best as the only dog in the home. While she can get along with some dogs, she has shown some resource guarding around food and toys. When it comes to people, she is a very sweet girl who loves to play and would tag along for any adventure. Say-Say is looking for a confident owner who can provide structure, consistent guidance, and plenty of exercise to keep her happy and engaged.

Adoptions have been very slow at the Oconto Humane Society. We are at full capacity and cannot help other animals in need without adoptions 😕.
Thinking about saving a life? Now is the time. As a reminder, all dogs 6 months and older are half-priced all of October! 🐶🐾 Please stop in to meet any of our amazing dogs!
