Today we had to make the heart wrenching decision to lay to rest our Mr. Spirit - Bi Mi Unforgettable Spirit. Purchased in November of 2024, Spirit quickly wiggled his way into all our hearts. Molly and Spirit quickly became an unstoppable duo, including winning the Junior Equitation Finals at the National Academy Finals last year. We will forever remember his bright eyes and perfect, always forward ears. He was a horse who loved his job and loved his people, especially Molly, even more. Molly - thanks for so generously sharing Spirit with everyone at PHF. Rest easy, Spirit and thanks for the ride. Special thanks to Dr. Crosby and all the staff at Wisconsin Equine for their compassionate care and unwavering dedication to Spirit.

PHF traveled 900 miles south to start our 2026 show season! We enjoyed the southern warmth and hospitality of the JD Massey horse show in Clemson, SC - we had some team debuts, debuts in new divisions and some personal goals accomplished with established teams! Every PHF horse brought home a 1st or second place ribbon! 💙♥️
A special thanks to our great team of Ray, Sequoia and Dallys who kept everything running smoothly and the horses looking great!

We are so proud of her hard work and dedication - it’s only been three years since she made her academy debut - proof that talent, hard work and great parental support can make phenomenal things happen! 💚💚💚

A little late is better than ever! Two weeks ago, we were so fortunate to have Gary Garone come all the way from New Hampshire to teach a clinic for PHF’s show and academy riders. Gary has trained multiple world and national champions, judged the World’s Championships and National Equitation finals, coached the gold medal winning US World Cup, and most importantly 😉 was Erica’s equitation trainer when she was a teenager.
We are so thankful he took the time to give us some valuable insights, tips and encouragement to all our riders! Mel Andrews also taught some great and very entertaining yoga for equestrians - we don’t know if yoga is supposed to have that much laughter involved!
A special thanks to the Mollica family who hosted us all on Friday evening for a ‘Meet and Greet’! Tony Mollica sure knows to cook!

Yesterday was a very tough day at PHF as we said a sudden goodbye to one of our most trustworthy school horses, Biscotti. We always said he was like a toasted marshmallow, a little crusty on the outside but perfect on the inside. He was the world’s best beginner lesson horse, a pattern expert, and lunge lesson specialist. We loved him dearly and there is huge hole in our barn and hearts today. Special thanks to Tom Thorpe and Bob Griffin for letting us love him the past 8 years.

Our ‘Jingle Bell’ In Barn was a huge success! Fun was had by all - by most of all by Eric, who really embraced his role as the Grinch!
We showed, played ‘texting and trotting’, Sit A Buck, had an amazing Horsey Holiday Costume class, did a cookie swap, celebrated Erica’s birthday and collected food items for the Oconomowoc Food Pantry! What a great day - special thanks to our PHF family - what an amazing group we have!
