Be like the Alligator. Move with patient, calculated power. A soft heart is a strength, but like the gator's armored skin, it must be protected. "People will abuse that soft spot you got for them until it's gone"—so be discerning. Reserve your softness for those who have earned the right to see it. Just so everyone knows I do rehoming and rescue Axotlos has a hobby. I'm not a business I use my own money and money I get for rehoming Axotlos to care for them. With that said I take pride in the care and well being of my babies to ensure they're ready for a new home and are healthy and happy. I don't want any confusion that I am a business.(I am NOT) Just a woman who loves all animals (exactly Axotlos) and loves taking care of them. 🩷🖤

One of the most fascinating things about axolotls is that they remain in their **juvenile (larval) stage for their entire lives**—a rare trait called **neoteny**. Unlike most salamanders, axolotls never undergo a full metamorphosis. They keep their adorable feathery gills and live their entire lives in the water!

If this animal loses an arm, a lung, or even half of its brain, it just regrows it perfectly. 🦎🧬🧠
The Axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum) is an incredibly unique amphibian native only to a single lake complex in Mexico. While it is famous on the internet for its permanent smile and cute feathery gills, scientists are completely obsessed with its seemingly magical DNA.
The Axolotl is the undisputed king of biological regeneration. If a predator bites off its leg, it doesn't just form a stump. Over a few weeks, the amphibian will regrow a flawless, fully functional arm, complete with bones, muscles, and nerves, leaving absolutely zero scar tissue behind.
But it goes much deeper than limbs. An Axolotl can perfectly regenerate its crushed spinal cord, a punctured lung, parts of its heart, and even massive sections of its own brain. Scientists are desperately studying their genome, hoping to one day unlock this exact regenerative ability for human medicine.
