Duke & Assata have rapport, a relationship, countless interactions. They enjoy each other, play together, sleep together when she boards with us.
Duke is a stoic, reserved but playful Dog…if he likes you 🙌
Assata has more energy than what most dogs can even deal with. Zeus is a great contender, confident, playful & rough, just like Assata
But for most dogs, when they are around Assata, they retreat into….themselves, don’t really want to interact & tend to withdraw. Exhibiting signs of displacement behavior in an attempt to be left alone…Assata usually DOESNT read that cue which is why when I have other dogs added into the mix woth this group, she needs to be on the long line
Not with Duke around.
He basically, more effectively & with much more force than I ever exert act as the long line & she definitely gets the message
So why are force free trainers so against treating dogs like how dogs treat dogs?
Science ?
Did you know that science will tell you that a fresh, real food diet has no scientific backed evidence for being superior to an overly processed-kibble diet?
The issue at the center, for me, is that FF claims force free is the only & BEST way to train any Dog , no matter the history, drive or breed.
To this day I have never observed or watched a FF trainer successfully rehab a red zone Dog & demonstrate that the Dog can be in the situations that, prior to the training, would have been triggered
