💫Board Member Spotlight💫

Laurie attended volunteer orientation 14 years ago and never left!  She currently serves as the Secretary for the Board of Directors but you can also find her mucking stalls, helping in lessons, wrangling barn cats, and at just about every event we host at the Ranch.  Look for her at Hoedown with a camera in hand this weekend!

What inspired Laurie to get involved?  Her daughter wanted to be a veterinarian and Ivey offered that opportunity to an 11 year old with a love of animals.  Ivey’s mission resonates with her, though, as she honors her Aunt Dee, who taught her compassion and how the beauty of our differences make us collectively better. 🐴💚

🚨Lessons are cancelled today and tomorrow due to extreme heat. 🚨

The horses and cats are enjoying the misters, fans, full water buckets, and plenty of shade during this heat wave.
 
Blazing temperatures do not stop our intrepid Barn Buddies! Please note that due to lessons being cancelled tomorrow, we would love to see volunteers from 6-8AM to help with mucking and feeding.  Be sure to wear a hat and bring a water bottle to refill during your shift! 💧🤠

Amylynn joined us two years ago and we appreciate how she jumps in to help with anything that needs to be done.  Her kindness and gentle spirit are mirrored in Ardmore, our 25 year old Gypsy Vanner, which explains their sweet connection.  Thank you for being part of our community! 🐴💚

This year, those stories shine brighter than ever as Ivey Ranch celebrates 45 years!
 
In honor of this incredible milestone, we are celebrating our Sapphire Anniversary. Throughout the year, you’ll see touches of sapphire, a gemstone that represents wisdom, loyalty, and strength. These are qualities we see every day in our participants, families, horses, volunteers, and staff, and they reflect the lasting impact Ivey Ranch has built over nearly half a century.
 
The Hoedown is our most important fundraiser of the year. The work we have done - and the work still ahead - is only possible because of the generosity of our community. Your support helps us sustain and grow programs that serve children and adults with disabilities and other special needs.
