🐾 HELP US KEEP DIOR HOME 🐾

Dior needs our help! 💕 She’s a 15-pound Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix who is deeply loved by her family.

We were recently made aware that Dior’s family was considering surrendering her because they were struggling financially and could no longer afford the supplies she needed—including food, treats, toys, and other basic necessities.

We reached out and asked a simple question: “If we could help with supplies, would you want to keep her?”

Their answer was an immediate yes. ♥️ They don’t want to give Dior up. They love her. They just need a little help right now.

So, instead of taking Dior away from the family she knows and loves, we’re asking our community to come together and help us keep this little girl in her home.

🚨 FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED! 🚨

This sweet deaf Frenchie has a temporary landing spot with a local trainer who has generously offered to foster him and help him learn and build confidence for the next two weeks. ❤️

But after those two weeks, he’ll need a more permanent foster — or, even better, his forever home. 🐾

Deaf doesn’t mean he can’t live a happy, full life. He just needs someone patient, loving, and willing to learn how to communicate with him.

🐾 TODAY’S ADOPTION SPOTLIGHT IS ON FENDI! 🐾

💕 7 YEARS OLD | 55 LBS | POCKET BULLY | LOOKING FOR HER PERSON

Just look at this girl. 🥹

Fendi has been waiting. And waiting. And somehow, this beautiful, silly, affectionate girl is still waiting for someone to see her. Because when you look at these pictures, you don’t see a dog who has been overlooked. You see a girl who has discovered the couch. A girl who loves to curl up beside her people. A girl who will happily give you her whole body for belly rubs. A girl who loves going for walks—and apparently thinks she should be the one holding the leash. A girl who loves car rides. A girl who adores her people and wants nothing more than to be close to them. And then there’s that face. 😍.

Fendi has so much love to give. She is affectionate, funny, loyal, playful and absolutely convinced that your lap is significantly larger than it actually is. 😂

She doesn’t need a perfect family. She needs HER family. The one who will understand her quirks. Give her structure. Let her be the only spoiled dog in the house. And, most importantly, love her for exactly who she is. Fendi has spent enough time waiting for someone to choose her. Maybe you’re the person she’s been waiting for. 🥹❤️

This girl is at Bladen Animal Shelter. This shelter is why Paws of Tomorrow was founded. These rural dogs get no visibility. Thankfully, The Unforgotten Souls helps post these urgent dogs. This will be taking his final walk tomorrow morning! Please share or offer her a pledge, to help save her life.

Sweet storm loved fast food, and it's about to kill her. She was sent to the shelter due to not doing well with chickens, and not being kept contained. She is a sweet, rather laid-back girl who has done very well with other dogs at the shelter. Her thick "foxy" coat is so different looking. She really deserves a chance at love. Please share comment, and react to get her seen, and her soul safe!! She's around 3yrs old, and 55lbs. She's a Shepherd mix, but not enough Shepherd for a rescue to want her enough unfortunately. No one has room due to no adoptions or fosters!! If everyone could step up in some capacity, these souls deserve it! See comments for main post with more info.!

Sweet Ebeneezer had a BIG day yesterday! We spent some extra time working with and grooming Ebe, and it was just the encouragement this boy needed.

This guy finally started coming out of his shell. And we believe he has had some tactical training, at some point in his life. He knows commands that are above and beyond typical dog training. He can follow your hand in a way that is used in specialized training, he can also walk in and around your legs. He also will let us handle him in any way necessary. We groomed him, brushing mats from every part of his body, pulling and tugging. This guy was a perfect angel. And something magical happened during that time. He decided it was safe to be a dog. He now ventures around his foster home more, he galloped around the back yard like it was the greatest day of his life. He barked and jumped around eagerly, when it was time to eat. He takes food and treats gently from our hands. He rolled around, groomed himself, and even raised his tail in excitement, once!

This boy is going to be the most amazing friend for someone, and he’s so eager to please. He’s like a puppy discovering what it’s like to be a pet again. It’s obvious to us that this boy has been trained for something special, at one point in his life. We believe he had an owner/family, that he somehow lost. At which time he was displaced for long enough to become slightly feral. This is just our opinion, but he is giving us more signs each day.

For now, we are enjoying every moment of watching this boy gain his new found confidence. 🐾

🐾 FOSTER NEEDED — SMALL/MEDIUM DEAF DOG 🐾

We need a very special foster to open their home to a small to medium-sized deaf dog who is waiting for their chance. ❤️

Being deaf doesn’t make a dog any less loving, playful, smart, or deserving of a family. It simply means they communicate a little differently — and we need someone willing to learn alongside them. He’s house trained, 7 years old, and good with other dogs. He also likes to make feline friends.

We’re looking for a foster who can provide:

🏡 A safe, secure home
❤️ Patience, love, and understanding
🐾 A willingness to learn simple hand signals and communication
⏰ The time and commitment to help this dog decompress and thrive

You do NOT need experience with deaf dogs. We’ll be there to support you every step of the way and provide the supplies and veterinary care they need.

Sometimes the dog who needs a little extra understanding is the one who changes your life the most. 🥹❤️

❤️ A little Ebenezer update… ❤️

We’ve been waiting to share these because sometimes progress with a dog like Ebe doesn’t come in big, obvious milestones. Sometimes it looks like a dog who was once completely shut down slowly discovering that it’s okay to be a dog again. And lately, we’re seeing little pieces of that boy.

Ebe has officially fallen in LOVE with two stuffed animals. 🥹 He loves cuddling with them and has started seeking out the comfort they bring him. Watching him curl up with his toys might seem like such a small thing, but for Ebe, it’s HUGE.

He is still incredibly fearful. He still prefers to spend most of the day in his kennel, even though the door is open and he is free to come out. He doesn’t venture out very often yet.

However, we’ve discovered that Ebe is a morning dog. In the mornings, he is genuinely excited to see us. He runs around the yard, jumps up and down, and shows us a little bit of the happy, silly boy hiding underneath all that fear. We absolutely love seeing it.

He sleeps like a pro at night and is completely house and kennel trained. He’s such a little gentleman, and he is so afraid of upsetting anyone.

In rescue, there are moments like these… moments where you can look at his face and see something that wasn’t there when he first arrived.

Ebe wants love so badly. That is what makes his fear so heartbreaking. He wants to connect, he wants to feel safe, and he wants to be close — he just hasn’t learned yet that he can trust the people around him enough to let them in.

When Ebe came to us, he was completely shut down. He has come such a long way, but he still has a long way to go. His progress is going to be measured in baby steps, and that’s okay.

What we want everyone to understand is that when we call Ebe “fearful,” we mean scared. We do NOT mean aggressive. We do NOT mean unpredictable. This boy would never hurt a fly. Even when he was terrified and in pain, he never reacted negatively toward us. His instinct has always been to retreat and seek safety — never to fight.

And now we’re getting little glimpses of the dog underneath all that fear. The goofy boy. The playful boy. The boy who loves his stuffed animals. The boy who wants so desperately to be loved.

We don’t know exactly how long it will take for Ebe to fully come out of his shell, and we aren’t going to rush him.

But look at him.

He’s learning to trust. And we are so incredibly proud of him.

One little step at a time. ❤️🐾

Ebeneezer is turning into quite the brave young man. 🥹❤️

Just a short time ago, getting Ebeneezer out of his kennel was a struggle. He was terrified of the world around him and would much rather stay tucked away where he felt safe.

But look at him now. 🥹

He is coming out on his own. He is watching what’s happening around him. He’s starting to trust that this is a safe place and that the people around him aren’t going to hurt him.

We’re not rushing him. We’re letting him set the pace, and he’s showing us that when given patience, consistency, and a safe place to land, even the most frightened dogs can begin to find their courage. ❤️

Keep going, sweet boy. You’re doing it. 🥹🐾
