UPDATE: DUSTY ROSE HAS BEEN ADOPTED INTO A LOVING HOME. Professionally groomed and fresh as a flower, meet Dusty Rose, a gorgeous 8-year-old dilute calico looking for a quiet, loving place to land! With her stunning pastel coat and plush, thick fur, Dusty Rose is a total beauty—though she will need a dedicated human who enjoys regular grooming sessions to keep her coat looking soft, tangle-free, and fabulous.
Sadly, Dusty Rose was surrendered after four wonderful years as a cherished family pet because her owner's daughter developed severe allergies. She’s used to home life and living alongside a dog, but as the only cat, she is accustomed to having all the feline spotlight to herself. She loves attention and will happily soak up endless petting

UPDATE!!! PEPE AND PONGO HAVE BEEN ADOPTED TOGETHER.
Pepe and Pongo are still waiting for their forever homes. They are back with their foster family after two weeks at the PetSmart adoption center with no successful adoption. They certainly had plenty of energy to burn once they had room to run.
Pepe and his brother, Pongo, were rescued after being found dodging traffic in the middle of a busy local highway. They are still very active and love to play but will settle down to enjoy a quick cuddle. They love playing with toys and all the other kitties, especially diving through the tunnel toy or any other fun obstacle. Their actions will keep you entertained for hours!

UPDATE!!! SWEET POTATO HAS BEEN ADOPTED!! HE IS A VERY LUCKY KITTY, GOING TO A GREAT, LOVING HOME.
Poor Sweet Potato thought he found his happily-ever-after when he was adopted last winter as a young kitten. But unfortunately, only seven months later, S.P. was returned to DCC due to his owner's serious health issue. Sweet Potato was originally found as a small kitten in the middle of the road by a local mail carrier. During his time in foster care he was very sweet and social, getting along well with the other cats. He also spent a lot of time cuddled on the sofa or in his foster mom's lap. Won't you give this sweet guy the forever home he deserves?

We have a lot of new, cute faces ready for adoption! PetSmart's National Adoption Week is in full swing. We have bird want-to-be kitties (Tweet, Peep, Hoot & Chirp), buggy babies (Junebug and Beetle). We even have breakfast (Eggo, Pancake and Colby Jack), as well as many others. Join us at the Salisbury PetSmart the week of July 20-26 for PetSmart Charities' National Adoption Week. We will have extra cages set up to help feature more of our sweet kitties who are ready to find their loving, forever homes.

UPDATE: No one claimed this friendly kitty. He is now in a DCC foster home, going by the name of DENNIS. He has been neutered and needs one more vaccination in mid August and then will be ready for adoption. FOUND CAT COURTESY POST
Found on Rt 366 E in Stockton on July 4. Approx. 4 month old, DSH gray male. Very friendly. Wants to be let inside. Was wearing a collar.
Local animal control and humane society do not have any report of this lost kitten.

Our volunteers enjoyed a windy yet pleasant evening out at Downtown Salisbury's Third Friday event. We had a lot of visitors to our table and answered a lot of questions. Our foster kitties on hand, Monkey, Goose and Chipmunk, received lots and lots of attention.
