Moon has settled in nicely, he has his favorite hide which I found him fast asleep in this morning upside down with his head at the opening lol. I love their little ears, just so cute 🥰😍❤️. Hedgies in the Pines

I wholeheartedly agree with Ravenscar, our animals we produce & sell as breeders are our responsibility, no one else’s! Don’t put your responsibility on someone else’s shoulders because you don’t wanna deal with it. If you’re a breeder you deal with it, end of discussion.

Finally Instagram is letting me add videos & photos to the same post. Moon & I found a little Maryland state forest scenic overlook in western MD to stop at & take some pics & videos. Managed to get some beautiful video & photos of where I met the transporter too (last clip). Truly a gorgeous fall day. I am back home in eastern MD now, Moon is in his cage with a full tummy & wheeling away, & I am gonna go crash now lol.

Welcome home Moon! Our bestie at Hedgies In The Pines decided to let me have her male greater tenrec so between today & yesterday I drove 8 hours to meet our trusted transporter who could only get as close as part of WV to me this time to bring me Moon. But I got to drive through some of the most beautiful fall scenery in rural WV at the base of mountains so I’m not too bummed out by the long drive. Now to get this guy back home to MD.

Morning hangout with Hemlock ❤️. We’re now having some snuggle time. All the lesser tenrecs are in torpor now, so that’s really all I’ll get now from them is snuggles 🥰.

Out of all the girls, Sophie claimed the snail bed hideout & she started anointing all in it lol

Trying to carrying multiple snuggle sacks with tenrecs in them all at once in 1 arm load? Just layer them like you’re Belle in Beauty in the Beast carrying books around lol 😅. Works like a charm!

Tad bit of a jump scare. Tonks was a bit spicy with me & thought the fork was my finger & went for a hard chomp, then got a mouth full of mash instead & was super confused at first lol 😂. I’m glad I didn’t use my fingers lol, that’d have be an unpleasant chomp. The STO’s are still getting used to me, learning to trust me, & adjust to their new environment, so I expect some reactions like this. In general though both her & the male are very sweet.

The opossums got to try my homemade mash food for the first time yesterday as we made a fresh batch so I gave them some before it got put away in the freezer. It was a definite hit. Please enjoy my commentary lol. This is the male Remus
