It is with great sadness that I announce that we will.no longer be breeding. My family and I ventured down the breeding path, because our boxers are amazing creatures. I believe they are the dog that most families dream about, kind, loving, rambunctious, happy, silly funny and loyal. We wanted to share this with the world.. we tried it and we fell in love 6 times and had our heart broken 4. Sophia will be fixed next week.

Over the past week I haven't posted much. It's been sorta sad around here.. we have some answers as to what happened but I still want more. It has been determined that Sophia was exposed to some sort of virus in utero that effects the development of the puppies. This is on a microscopic level and it's really hard to determine. I question what dog since my Pups aren't exposed to just any dogs, or what person brought this to my house.. it's so hard to say. This morning as I was having some quiet time these 3 puppies were cracking me up. They are crazy funny..

I haven't really been able to wrap my mind around the recent tragedy in our home that has effected so many people near and far.. Over the weekend we lost 3 of our very loved puppies. We are so sad and devestated there are not really words for it. I have spent countless hours researching and Dr. Emily North has been by our side every step of the way. Our puppies show no signs of illness or disease. Blood work, f***l, Temps, vitals, radiology, and all over examination comes back perfect.. We suspect that our big dogs are carriers of a common heart condition in Boxers called cardio myopathy. We are pending results from UF to determine the fatality of our little fur babies. Please keep us all in your prayers as I will continue the quest for answers and pray that our 3 little guys left don't have this terrible condition. I vow to get to the bottom of it and to do my best to educate everyone and prevent this from happening to anyone else!

That bittersweet moment... that moment where from the beginning we have looked forward to sharing the joy with the world through our dogs. Sir Spot and Princess Sophia are the most wonderful dogs and to share the love we have for them and the love and loyalty they have for us is priceless. Multiplied by 6.. the boxer pup love amplified by 6, and to report they all have a loving home to go home to, is bittersweet. I am so thankful to love on Nova, Olaf, Dexter, Cali, Ponce, and Hank until they are 8 weeks old.. im thankful for the chaos and the extra work that goes into receiving one of the best things on earth, LOVE!
