Vet Tech Week spotlights start today - and we could not be more proud of the people we get to highlight.

Swipe through to meet Willie Rullan, who helped build PEVS from the ground up and has been the backbone of this practice since day one. Yazmine Rivera, who moved from Puerto Rico, taught herself English in three months, earned her degree, and brought everything she had to our equine team. Zoe Short, who walked into our clinic one day driven by an overwhelming passion for equine sports medicine and never slowed down. And Roy Ferrero, who brings over 50 years of experience to EPIC with the same passion and dedication as when he started.

These are the people behind the care. Happy Vet Tech Week, thank your technicians 💙

Dr. Colton is making a trip back to Florida October 29–31 - and he’s got a limited number of appointments open. 🐴

This is your chance to get your horse in with him while he’s here. Spots will go fast so reach out sooner rather than later.

Happy Vet Tech Week! 🐴

Behind every great vet is an even greater team - and ours is no exception. Our vet techs are the backbone of everything we do at PEVS, bringing the expertise, dedication, and care that our horses and clients deserve every single day.

This week we’re taking a moment to celebrate them. Starting tomorrow, keep an eye out for individual spotlights on the people who make it all happen.

They deserve every bit of it. 💙

Rain or shine - the work doesn’t stop. 🌧️🐴

Willie and Diuver doing assisted swimming in the middle of a full downpour for a horse that came all the way from the Ormond Beach area to be with us. No hesitation, no shortcuts - just two guys who show up for every horse no matter what.

This is what we’re about. 💙

Our horses take pool etiquette pretty seriously around here 🫧

You should too.

Don’t skip your pre-pool rinse. ❌

Labor Day weekend done right. 🐴

Dr. Tomas and the PEVS team had an incredible time at the Labor Day Barrel Blast at World Equestrian Center - Ocala. Thank you to every rider and owner who came to see us and trusted us with your horses over the holiday weekend.

This is exactly the kind of work we love doing. See you at the next one. 💙

Today we're shining a light on one of our own - Dr. Alfredo Lichoa. 🐴

Dr. Lichoa was born in Venezuela and moved to the United States in 2001, driven by a lifelong passion for horses and the desire to build a better life for his family. That passion led him to veterinary medicine and a career spent pursuing a deep understanding of the equine world - from conception through the development of high-level competing athletes.

After more than twenty years in the field he obtained his Florida license and brought his experience and dedication to the PEVS team, where he takes on every challenge with one goal in mind - the wellness of every horse in his care.

When he's not with patients he's with his family or at the grill. 🥩

We're lucky to have you, Dr. Lichoa. 💙

Your horse’s joints will thank you later. 🙂‍↕️

Shockwave therapy uses targeted sound waves to stimulate healing in damaged tissue, increase blood flow and break down scar tissue - all without needles or surgery. Most horses feel the difference after just one session. ✨
