Went for a run at the Gothe Forest… harness wasn’t a good fit, switched to one of the girls ones for him as a last resort…. Many horses on the trial… then the defender broke down and we had to have it towed … this was our day yesterday… but we made the best of it … 45 min run tuned into a 5-6 hour stay at the Gothe forest !

One interesting difference between the UK Whippet standard and the AKC Whippet standard is that in the UK, the skull is described as "rather wide between the eyes" and in the American standard it calls for "fairly wide between the ears." Does this difference in skull shape description result in a Whippet that can perform its function as a sighthound better or worse or is it purely aesthetic?

The following article offers an interesting insight. (pun intended!)
