We are David and Brittany Estrella, the proud owners and breeders behind Star Dalmatians. Our love for Dalmatians dates back to the mid to late 1990s when we welcomed our first pair into our family. Since then, we have been captivated by their unique charm, intelligence, and loyalty. Located in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania (18411), our breeding dogs live with us in our family home. We believe in the importance of raising our puppies in a loving and nurturing environment, surrounded by the daily interactions of our family and other pets. This close-knit setting allows our Dalmatians to develop strong socialization skills and prepares them for their forever homes. Our Breeding Journey
Our involvement in breeding Dalmatians stems from a personal quest to find a breeder who shared our passion for the breed's health and well-being. Faced with the challenge of finding a responsible breeder who prioritized the breed's welfare over quantity, we decided to take matters into our own hands. We embarked on this new journey to breed healthy, loved, and ethically raised Dalmatian puppies, ensuring that other families could experience the same love and devotion we have for this remarkable breed. What Makes Our Breeding Program Special
At Star Dalmatians, we pride ourselves on the quality and care we provide to our Dalmatians. Our breeding program stands out due to our unwavering commitment to ethics, health, and the betterment of the breed. We conduct extensive health clearances and genetic testing to ensure that our dogs are in optimal health and free from hereditary conditions. This meticulous approach helps us produce healthy and well-rounded Dalmatian puppies that become cherished members of their new families. Our Puppies and Breeding Practices
From the moment our puppies are born, they receive dedicated attention and care. They are raised in our home alongside our family, ensuring they are well-socialized and acclimated to various living environments. Our puppies come with two rounds of vaccines, four rounds of dewormer, and are vet checked and certified. They undergo BAER testing and Gensol genetic testing to ensure their overall health and well-being. Additionally, they are microchipped, come with a pedigree, and receive 30 days of free pet health insurance. We provide a puppy starter/rehoming basket, including a choice of color for collar and leash. Price, Deposits, and Waitlists
The price of our puppies varies based on coat color and overall health. We offer black and white, liver and white, lemon and white, orange and white, liver tricolor, and black tricolor purebred Dalmatians. The deposit for reserving a puppy starts at $250 and is refundable only in the event of health-related circumstances prior to rehoming. To secure a spot on our waitlist and have first picks of the litter, a $100 deposit is required. Our puppies are ready to go to their new homes after 8 weeks of birth, ensuring they have received the necessary care and development. Extras Included with Your Puppy
We believe in going the extra mile to ensure a smooth transition for both you and your new furry family member. When you bring home a Star Dalmatians puppy, you can expect a comprehensive welcome package. Each puppy is sent home with a microchip for identification, toys to keep them entertained, a comfort blanket infused with the scent of their mom and littermates, two rounds of vaccinations to kickstart their health, a puppy starter kit to get you started on the right paw, a puppy leash and collar of your choice, a certificate of health, a food starter bag, puppy treats, p*e pads, and puppy p**p bags. Additionally, we provide dietary recommendations and a list of recommended supplies to ensure you have everything you need to care for your new bundle of joy. Transportation Options
We understand that distance may be a factor when bringing your new puppy home. That's why we offer various transportation options to accommodate your needs. Our ground transportation service is available, and the cost varies depending on the location. We calculate the round trip mileage and charge $0.60 per mile, excluding tolls and any excluded stops. We also take into account the driving time and charge $20 per hour. For a detailed estimate, please reach out to us, and we will provide you with a regional map and discuss the specific costs associated with your delivery. If you prefer air travel, we can arrange for airport pickups at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton airport, although this method may incur additional costs and health screenings. Flight Nanny and Local Pickups
For those who opt for air travel, we offer the option of a flight nanny. However, please note that flight nanny services come with additional costs, which depend on your airport and airline prices. Keep in mind that flight nannies may require an additional health screening for the puppy, adding to the overall cost. Alternatively, we also welcome local pickups, allowing you to personally meet your new companion and experience the joy of bringing them home firsthand. Health Clearances and Genetic Testing
Ensuring the health and well-being of our Dalmatians is of utmost importance to us. That's why we conduct a comprehensive range of health clearances and genetic testing. Our dogs undergo tests such as Dominant Black DNA, Agouti DNA, D Locus (Dilute) DNA, DNA Repository, DNA Coat/Trait Panel, DNA Profile, Hip Dysplasia Finals (OFA, PennHIP, BVA, SV, FCI), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC), Congenital Stationary Night Blindness (CSNB), Dilated Cardiomyopathy 1 (DCM1), Dry Eye Curly Coat Syndrome (CKSID), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), OFA/CHIC DNA Repository, GenSol Diagnostics DNA Testing, Full Embark Panel, Hyperuricosuria (HUU), and Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA).
