🩷🩷 A LITTLE RESCUE UPDATE 🩷🩷
I’ve been giving this A LOT of thought lately. The more I adjust to being a full-time new mom, the more I realize that I may still be able to continue doing what I love—it may just require a little more patience and balance. ❤️
Rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming guinea pigs has been such a huge part of my life, and it means the absolute world to me. Knowing I can make even a small difference in this cruel world makes it so hard to imagine closing our doors and turning away lives that need us.
We are considering staying open or transitioning to sanctuary ONLY, which would mean keeping things small because, unfortunately, we simply can’t save them all.
If we stay open, we will need consistent weekly and monthly financial support from our followers. Last month we raised nearly $1,000, which doesn’t go very far, but it’s much better than the months we barely reached $300. I simply can’t continue covering rescue expenses from mine or my husband’s pockets, as it puts a lot of stress on our personal finances.
This is NOT 100% decided yet, and I don’t want to make promises, but right now, we are leaning more toward staying open. 🥹❤️
I wanted to keep everyone updated on where things stand. I’ll be posting tomorrow about our current needs.
And THANK YOU to everyone who has sent hideys, pellets, Vitamin C cookies, and other supplies. Every single donation, big or small, truly means the world to us—and especially to the guinea pigs.
