This is a very sad story. I feel for the owner, as I would be devastated if this happened to one of our boys. That doesnt take away from the fact that the poodle lunged on the leash putting tension on the snap that should have never happened. Please train your dogs to walk on the leash and respect commands. This is a tragic event that could have been prevented had the dog been trained not to chase. If you are having issues with your dog pulling on leash like this that please talk to us about it. We can give you tips and tricks to avoid this ever happening! We are in no way blaming the owner for this accident, nor are we saying they are bad dog owners, however there is a possibility of it being prevented in the future with proper training. You cannot trust that a piece of fabricated metal will save your dogs life.

Please dont leave your dogs in the car. You can bring them to K9 Adventure Club in the air conditioning. We offer day care 7 days a week now! This is a sad post, and a sad reminder that it gets scorching in our vehicles when the temps are high. There is no reason to leave them in the car. Don't take them anywhere if you need to get out of your car.
