Praline has places to be and plenty of things to sniff! 🐾🧐

This 5-year-old explorer may be blind, but he has no trouble taking the lead on walks! With his nose to the ground, Praline is a dog on a mission, confidently investigating his surroundings and carefully navigating obstacles along the way. He's even figured out how to slow down when approaching curbs. Pretty impressive, right?

As much as Praline enjoys his adventures, he's equally enthusiastic about spending time with people. Expect plenty of happy wiggles, affectionate nudges and a few licks for good measure! He also appreciates a relaxing afternoon soaking up the sunshine.

Praline has been waiting quite a while for someone to see just how special he is, and we think it’s about time this sweet guy got his chance! 🍂 This could be the season someone falls for him. He’s looking for a patient home where he can continue exploring the world with someone by his side. And knowing him, he’ll probably be the one leading the way! ❤️

🌟 Praline is currently in a foster home! To meet him, email [email protected].

What does it really take to help your pet reach a healthier weight? Rainey and her owner, East Bay SPCA supporter and foster, Phyllis, know a thing or two about that journey! 🐾 💪

October 14 is National Pet Obesity Awareness Day, an important reminder that a few extra pounds can affect more than just a pet's appearance. Excess weight can increase the risk of health problems like diabetes and arthritis, and make everyday activities like walks and playtime more difficult.

But making a change doesn't have to happen overnight!
In our latest blog, Phyllis shares the steps she and Rainey took toward a healthier lifestyle, what they learned along the way and how small changes can add up.

🌟 Curious about their journey? Click the link in our bio to read Rainey's story!

It’s Pit Bull Awareness Month! 🐾🧡

From their goofy personalities and signature head tilts to their love for their favorite humans, Pit Bulls have a way of stealing hearts! Despite being loved by so many, these dogs still face unfair stereotypes and misconceptions.

But did you know that “Pit Bull” isn’t actually one specific breed? It’s an umbrella term used to describe several breeds, including the American Pit Bull Terrier and American Staffordshire Terrier, as well as mixes with similar physical characteristics.

Pit Bulls, affectionately known as Pitties, come in all shapes, sizes and personalities! While many have blocky heads and floppy, expressive ears, no two are quite alike. Some are professional couch potatoes, while others are always ready for their next big adventure. Each has their own quirks that make them unique.

This month, we’re celebrating the dogs behind the stereotypes and their bond with the people who love them. All dogs pictured are available for adoption! ❤️

📸 We want to see your Pitties! Help us fill the comments with their adorable faces by sharing your favorite photo. ⬇️

Carly is only 4 months old, but she's already got the art of snuggling figured out! 🐱❤️

This little girl has quite the collection of moves. Headbutts, cheek rubs, face smooshes and even the occasional flip onto her back for some extra attention. She's been practicing, and it shows!

Carly likes to get to know new people from her cozy little box, but once the pets start, she's all in! She'll lean into your hand, rub her cheeks against your fingers and make it pretty clear she'd like you to keep going. A little Churu doesn't hurt, either. 😂

She's hoping to find a quieter home where she can settle in at her own pace and eventually put all those snuggling skills to use on a couch. Something tells us she'll have that figured out in no time! ❤️

It’s a happy tails! 🐾💛

Gigi has found her people, and they couldn’t love her more! Here’s a sweet update from her family:

“We love her so much. She’s the best dog. She keeps me company while I work from home, comes to my son’s Little League games where everyone stops by to give her snuggles, and had the sweetest reunion with our two older kids when they got back from a week at summer camp. And her favorite cuddle buddy? Our 4-year-old.” - Lisa.
