A little early heads-up… The Smoothist will be available after Paso (Nov 14)! He’s already earned over $2.8K and has the potential to really turn up the heat. This boy can mark a 220.5, is wicked on a cow both in the cutting and down the fence, and can mark a +1 in the stop (marked one in Vegas). He’s just getting started — the sky is the limit with this one. 🔥 (full siblings are close to 300k in earnings)

🔥 220.5 DOWN THE FENCE! 🔥

So proud of my 3-year-old, The Smoothist!

After a few owner-caused penalties in the reining 😬, this boy stepped up BIG and got us back in the money — 6th in the Non Pro Futurity and 4th in the Intermediate Non Pro Futurity $2,881 + Reno jackets, and some cool prizes 🤩

By Smooth As A Cat out of a money-earning Dual Pep mare, with full sisters nearing $300K — he’s starting to show just how special he might be. ❤️

Huge thanks to Chavez Performance Horses for getting us here!

First piece of the Reno Futurity in the books! 🤠 'Books' was solid in the cutting and I couldn’t be happier with my Smooth As A Cat 3-year-old. 💙🐮

Big thanks to Chavez Performance Horses for all the help and Far West Media for capturing it! 🎥

On to the reining! 🔥

Pretty darn lucky to get the chance to learn from Don Murphy this weekend. So much to take home and work on!

Huge thank you to Don and Chuy Chavez for all the help, advice and time with Books. I’m really enjoying putting the pieces together with this 3-year-old and excited to see where we can take him. 🤠

Cow kept it intense but lessons learned.

Couldn’t be prouder of this guy! He showed up for absolutely EVERYTHING here in Vegas and was just .5 out of a check. The cow gods weren’t exactly on our side, but he was all there every step of the way and tried his heart out.
Pretty damn excited about this one and what’s ahead! The Smoothist by Smooth as a Cat.
